Dr. Martens are good, I had ones, but for half the price you pay for them you can buy something hand made that will last you the same or more time. I saw a documentary on how they make Dr. Martens, that is what I call have no soul.

I'll be perfect one day, but I wear my frailties as a badge of honor until then.

Wow. Yes, it's too bad hats aren't often worn now. I should visit Portugal someday and buy some as gifts. Or just order online, haha.

Oh it can do, but admittedly you do have to tread more carefully and you are more likely to find yourself on your uppers.

I have a pair of Dr. Martens that will outlast the cockroaches after the nuclear finale.

I can use my hands, I inherited that from my family I guess, they are almost all carpenters, they make doors, tables, anything that is made of wood. I distanced myself from the branch, my mother was a gaspie, sewing shoe, I was a cutter is the most demanding part of the manufacture. I was a welder, steel for a while, didn't really liked, I don't like steel is dangerous, cold and dirty. Making shoes is an easy profession to romanticize, Daniel Day Lewis made shoes in Italy some people remember this, but the truth is that it is a profession that normally has a rather bad work environment, whether in large or small factories.
