I feel like trash. Stuck at home today
I can relate to that. It’s tough not to want to tell everyone you know after you do something good. As a kid I used to get all excited when I got to hold the door open for people. I was a weird kid
Because I'm neurotic and think that maybe I only do it because subconsciously I need to pay it forward in case I need it one day.

You know, all that good self-loathing stuff.

That's a metaphor for life. You figured out how to get there, regardless.

Who am I kidding? I still do that now
I used to have to take a dictionary, find a word I knew, sound it out, and then use that to learn the pronunciation of other words. Rhyming is a coping mechanism to learn words. Crazy huh? It’s amazing what you learn about yourself even as an adult

I murdered every spelling test and even with copious studying I’d rarely get better than a C and in college I couldn’t take an exam to save my life. Usually got a C- with quite a few Ds because I never wrote enough but I couldn’t ever figure out how to write more without looking at the original texts.
I met with a doctor this past week, and they asked me if I was ever tested for dyslexia as a kid. Ya know, I can’t help but think they might be on to something
