If they're gonna give us a some free money during this thing... Maybe they could just shut the bills off for a few weeks to?
Now I just need to work on my business plan. I'm only 6 weeks behind schedule.
Fingers crossed.
Yeah, portability isn't much of a concern to me. The idea is to have as much power as possible, so I went ahead and put the more expensive MacBook Pro down. Best case scenario I get it and best worst case they just buy me a cheaper model themselves.
Mine is a few years old, so no DVD drive, etc. Maybe decide based on ports... I'd love a third USB port like my other laptops have, but for the price, I didn't need to be picky.

I have a refurbished 13" MacBook Pro ($200 on eBay, score!) and I love that size. Easy to tote but still enough screen size to do nearly everything. Of course, for spilt-screen work, I still prefer my large desktop setup with dual monitors, but the MacBook has come in handy. I have an 11" ThinkPad that is almost too small for detail work, and a 15.6" HP that is HUGE and harder to tote around (not really the weight so much as the awkward size since it's widescreen).

This 13" baby is the nice middle ground in terms of size. My two cents on that, depending on how much you're gonna need to tote it around.
One pound difference, so that's negligible.
13"
Likely has video out so screen size is irrelevant.
Likely cheaper and could be argued that you're saving them money not asking for the 16" lol.
Easier to carry.
16" is heavier?
It's a fat chance I will get one, but I kinda feel like I should ask for more than I need just in case I do actually get it.
