Hiya Holden, you have been rather quiet as of late, how goes it?
Golgot, that statment defines hurculean optimism. Can you levitate, as well?
Ah well. I just hope the ole bush baby and pals have learned from their mistakes relating to iraq and 'terror' (and self-defeating unilateralism). You never know. (There, that was kinda gracious/magnanimous, towards the end )
"Does anybody need a stiff drink?"

had enough last night
Congrats Bush...now don't screw this up!!
My breath smells of onions from a delightful soup i had earlier....although i think im making the girl next to me heave.
Nah, just lunch. Heading out to grab some, back later (saw review, yods )
Does anybody need a stiff drink?
Right, that is exactly my concern, that, during a second term (notoriously unpredictable), Bush might just start taking economic chances he would never have even considered in the previous climate. Perhaps the extra conservatives in power will actually keep that from happening, but they might also just "go with their guy" to save face... That said, I never liked Daschle, and was glad to see him go... The economy IS in better shape right now, as I posted in my tid-bits thread yesterday, and I would think the admin. would want that to continue...
Well, lemme just say that your response was, I thought, very admirable. "Disheartened" is entirely the right word to use when you disagree with the choice the electorate has made.

I'm glad the GOP has majorities in both branches of Congress, of course, but I do worry that their domination might cause them to throw fiscal discipline to the wind. Here's hoping they can scale back spending a little over the next four years, and let economic growth do it's thing.
Well, Yoda, I had a feeling Bush would win the election, as I stated earlier, but I don't see any balace of power with the GOP controlling everything, including a future hold on the Supreme Court, which will most certainly happen during his term...
