I have Future Sound of London's Lifeforms spinning here in the office right now... It has been a WHILE since I heard it...
Go for Japanese food... it's healthy!

Sayonara!
On an entirely different note. I am going for Chinese food tonight.

Thank you.
I absoloutly understand feeling sorry for whats happened to her, its awful and I suspect I would feel more sorry for her if she had played a larger part in our media over here in the UK, but despite HP's brief history of her, i still can't see much difference between her and P Hilton other than perhaps Anna is a victim of the fame game. Still doesnt justify her marrying that old fella for his money though. Meh.
blib, I'd never call her a saint or one of the great people of the world. But I can certainly feel sorry for what's happened to her. Some of it she may have brought upon herself, but let's face it -- some of it was just dogging her.
And let's not forget that she had one GREAT rack.
And if you had her in your Celebrity Death Pool: sixty-one points. Score!
The difference between Anna Nicole Smith, who was easy to feel pathos and even regard for, and a Paris Hilton, who everybody just despises, is that Anna started dirt poor and didn't come from privilege. And while Anna and her persona were certainly exploited and marketed, one never got the sense that she was exploiting herself. Even that ridiculous "reality" show of hers, you didn't get the sense that she was putting anything on - she would have been the same person with or without those cameras there. And her behavior and bad taste is exactly what you would expect from somebody from her background who came into large sums of money, be it through marriage to an aging millionaire, winning the lottery or becoming Playmate of the Year. And even at the height of her initial Playboy days when she was in the best physical shape of her life, she didn't seem to take herself seriously or think she was perfect. She went wildly up and down with her weight, and she never seemed self conscious when she was heavy or preening when she was thinner.

Add to that mix the death of a child, and I don't think it's surprising that people feel at least sorry for her if not actually sad.
Sorry if that makes me evil

Bumpous.
Just thought i would throw this out there...but i always thought A.N.Smith wasnt a great person. I mean, she married a 90 year old dude to get his fortune (Was it love? REALLY?) and then became famous off of that? And the whole time she appeared on her own show she seemed like an unintelligent spoilt brat who was always high.
She certainly hasnt had a great time of late, with her son and the controversy over her father and its terrible about her death, but its not like she was a saint or anything. Just my two pennies.
Yeah, I agree with you there, SC. Her story is just so sad, and oddly, all of the news stories I've seen have been very gracious and kind to her. The only fault they're finding with her is having a tough life and being too kindhearted.

I'm glad I haven't seen much of the stuff you've seen about her. That's just mean-spirited and wrong.
