It is certainly hard to define what a "political post" is, i'm just happy to not see a ton of posts that are inherently polarizing or infuriating, the lack of bigotry i see on here is pretty nice even if i strongly disagree with a lot of value statements in general.
In other news, I have become reacquainted with the inflation proof staple known as the PB&J sandwich. Is good.
Re thermobaric weapons: I feel like the USA doesn't have much right to criticize their usage given that we dropped the largest one in history 20 years ago. But yeah, my take on that is definitely getting into political territory, so I will quietly take my leave now.
Yeah. It sure doesn't help that Russians are committing war crimes... Ugh, I hate to say that, but didn't I say so? Russians just used thermobaric weapons over Okhtyrka. Yes, it's forbidden by the Geneva Conventions.

Putin and Lukashenka will end up in The Hague even if only convicted in absentia.

But there's a good thing to take from all of this madness: You start appreciating every day even more. You can go out, enjoy the sun, meet your friends, or even sit at home and watch stupid YouTube videos. And all of that without the fear of being bombarded. Not every nation can enjoy such pleasures. And that should make you feel more thankful for the average boring stuff you do every day.
Yeah, none of those shouts sound political to me. One thing is clear, though, and that is this mess is fitting within Russia’s history of rule: trickle down Tetris style. And history has shown us time and again how it ends for the guy sending the blocks down.

If I shouldn't talk about Ukraine at all, I won't. But there definitely is the will and need to voice an opinion even if it boils down to "Putin is bad" or "Russian army is unprepared for this war because..." or "dozens of civilians are dying in the Kharkiv area".
Perhaps you’re right. I don’t know what practical use that serves, though. But I do see the rationale in the above.
Well, the last one is a fact.

That is, of course, correct. But one’s POV on any war will be inherently political. I presume unless you’ve spoken to the man himself, you can’t reliably know what Putin did or didn’t think (especially with the ample reports that he may well be acting irrationally/not be altogether well). I take such analysis of a party’s intentions as pretty political. Not to mention that so is the very term “war” (though I agree that it’s appropriate in this case).
