The Shoutbox
To watch 3 movies in a day I need to be off work, fighting with my wife, and there can't be any games on.

Mr Minio averages about 1,000 films a year by his account.
So, in the case of Minio, I'm under the impression that's the bulk of what they do all day (I actually don't know what their job is).

I'm under the impression that Allaby is married and stuff (if I'm wrong on that front, that could help explain it).

For example, three movies a day means, let's just say 100 minutes each. That's 5 hours a day. Not hard to imagine to do on a day on the weekend (though that might still mean not doing much else on one's weekends).
But 5 hours on a weekday for me means basically if I started watching movies right after work ended (and I don't commute), that pretty much means ending at 10:30, and that's back to back, not eating, not factoring in hygiene. Throw in having to wake up in the morning, that's doable some days of the week but I can't imagine keeping that pace every single day.

One way to make that more plausible is if someone just doesn't have those same time obligations for work. There's still the whole having to feed yourself which takes up a surprising amount of time.

When I say, "how?" It mostly comes from the, "numerically how is there enough time in the day to do this?"

I somehow got ~75 movies in October, but that involved having time off from work and 24 movie marathons, which isn't something I could do in many other months.

I think there's something about time efficiency in the evening that other people have going for them that I'm somehow just missing.

I don’t count mine, but that’s about 3 films a day, I definitely do that, though many are rewatches.
Although I remember Citizen claimed to have seen and forgotten more movies than most of the young pups had every watched which makes me smile.
I also like to believe that one retains some mental memories of a movie just watched. Maybe my brain is the shits but if you asked me to remember all of those 312 from that year, I'd probably recall maybe 50

the most i could ever muster was just over 300 for an entire year and that was in a pursuit to watch a new movie every single day for an entire year. Needless to say I topped out at around 312 i believe. I can't even imagine watching that many x 3.
