He was saving you from the boogeyman. I have a jack russell who wants to run outside and take on the thunder monster.
Rocko hated hide and seek though...

If I got out of my chair and went into the hallway he'd moan because he thought I was going to hide behind the curtain at the end of the hall.
If I did though... he'd bark and attack the curtain then he'd pull my trouser-leg to pull me away from the curtain.
LOL. A friend of mine has a mad cat like that.

Staffies get a bad rep from dumb owners... they're THE best dogs going.
Loyal, protective, intelligent.
I'm surprised they're not used by police tbh.
Oh yeah, I forgot, he loved showers as well...
Just mention the word Shower and he'd go ballistic and charge into the bathroom like a freight train, straight into the bath, sitting, waiting for the water.
I'd normally end up with more water on me than on him

I basically rescued Rocky.
He was living with a couple chavvy skags who used to live next door who kept him in a cage all the time and fed him on digestive biscuits and water.

He was seriously under weight, no muscle mass either.
I chucked them £30, and they handed him over without question.

The first couple weeks, I was feeding him 5 tins of food a day, mixed with dry food, and I was cooking sausages for him as well in the evening.
Walking with him for up to 6 hours a day as well... teaching him bladder control... bless he was 7 months old and wasn't house trained.
Only took me 3 days to house train him. He was such a good dog, eager to do what he was told.

By the time I was done with him, he was 3 times the size, loads of muscle on him, fully trained to walk off the lead as well. He wouldn't leave my side at all unless I told him to stay.

I miss him so much. He was lovely.

Badass as well... they guy who lives out the back of mine has two untrained nasty Red Setters... they attack people all the time round here... and Rocky defended me from them the one day... he mauled the one of them quite badly while I swung a few kicks at the other one.
These hideous things went on sle at aldi on 1st April (pretty ppropriate because they look perfect for fools) and I went in to buy two yesterday so we could cut down on heating this winter. All gone. Mr Dani was so relieved.

Aw. I remember my staffy Rocky.
He loved his food. Would be filling his bowl and he'd be doing cartwheels round the flat... then he'd chase his bowl around the kitchen for 15 minutes making sure it was properly cleaned
8am, 1pm and 5pm feeding times and he always knew when it was time.
