It's kinda like life in general. I always admire people like my sister and my parents and people here. Intellectuals.

I always wanted to be that and I always tried. It just never clicked. I'm very binary and imaginationical , even though that may not make sense to people. Compartmentalized.

I just try to do what I do without pissing on anybody's boots.

Just as long as no ones sez anythings badz about Predator . That will not be tolerated.
My interpretation of that scene lends itself to my belief that Mandy is a supernatural.

While Sand delivers his speech, we see the overlay of his face and Mandy's. It seemed like while he was talking she was exerting her will. Silent, powerful, unflinching.

He was delivering his falsehood to a real god and she was exerting her power and destroying him in that moment.

It made sense in explaining how an unimposing person with a head full of drugs could remain so calm and collected in the face of those circumstances.
Naw man. I'm a box of rocks. I've always been on the outside looking in when it comes to the intellectual stuff.

I finally felt like I caught something when I saw Mandy, but I realize that it may not be there.

I just read an article about Cosmatos saying he was allergic to testosterone and how he was trying to undermine masculinity.

In reference to the exposure scene, "That was one of the earliest scenes that I wanted to do. I just find theres nothing funnier and more scary than a delusional man who thinks theyre the center of the universe, and in fact theyre not, ” says Cosmatos, who kept the scene mostly unchanged over years of tinkering with the script. “Theyre nothing but dangerous in that way, and I just wanted Mandy to laugh in the face of that. Because shes the center of this film, I wanted her to be the one to essentially destroy him. He would die physically later, but I think he died right there. "
I know you think highly of this movie, DD, so please remember that as much of a PITA I can be about blabbing my internet mouth, I'm also of the disposition that I miss a lot of stuff. It's hard to hear when your head is jammed up your own ass like mine is.
With Johansenn doing his synth pad atmospherics on top of this track...oh man, with the right mixing, turning the voals down a bit...jesus..what a movie! Man, Mandy is incredible!
This should have been the fight montages in Mandy. This soundtrack. Editing to Scott Travis' drum beats would have made this a 5 star movie..Cage would only have to bug his eyes out and I'd be satisfied.

Haha, it sure is...he must have a good personality.
Nic Cage's hairline is raging against his forehead.
and there was no heavy metal in this film..like..at all. That was another false cheer,..the metal aspect. Yes, there was like 15 seconds of sustained distorted guitar during the 7/8ths mark of the run time..but it wasn't even Norweigan black metal gloomy..it was more like Johanssen just played it on a synth with a guitar patch so...I dunno. I mean, I wasn't expecting Judas Priest Painkiller, but hell, it would have been nice looking back, haha.

You read into subtext that didn't even occur to me. It's totally on me that I didn't pick up on certain things. I suppose at the end of the day I was just disappointed because the overall film didn;t hit the notes I was 100% sure it would with no issues.

I went in thinking this exactly: "this film will have very little plot. The visuals will be astounding, and it will be really messed up and drag on and on".

iI was totally down for that. Sadly, I only got the visual aspect. As bad as the burning scene was, I felt as though the revenge scenes were watery and didn;t capture the rage nearly enough.

Rage Cage. I wanted Rage Cage.
Man. SNL is ruff. Jonah Hill is great at times "Smoke crack with me bro." , but this live stuff might not be his forte.
