Let us not forget McTiernan. The guy may be the greatest action director of all-time.

Don't give me that James Cameron bourgeois.
"Hans Gruber is the kind of antagonist that other action movies could only dream of. Gruber is always the smartest guy in the room --- his plan is well thought out, he knows a bit about everything (his Alexander speech; the way he clocks Takagi’s suit brand; his hilarious list of demands to the FBI), and, most importantly, he can think on his feet. Every time McClane tries to take the upper hand, Gruber out-maneuvers him --- think about the Bill Clay scene. Within a split-second of meeting McClane, Gruber has fallen into character as a helpless victim."

As many things that were birthed from Die Hard, Rickman's portrayal of Gruber may be the most significant.

Is it too early to spark up the Christmas movie debate? Or should I say, "The best way to tell if someone is completely ridiculous with no concept of what defines a movie genre."
Lesser known works include Rumblefish and Reservoir Dogs .
He was also the best part of Footloose that didn't come from of Kenny Loggins git.

Chris Penn was great in GTA. I was talking about him and ol' Tenpenny with my b.i.l. yesterday.

That means you have to be there, since you're the main character and everything.
