The Shoutbox
I have. My opinion of it is...ambivalent.
Has anyone seen The bad batch?.
That being said, the most memorably bold take he pulls in that list is trying to put any film next to The 15:17 to Paris and saying "actually it's the other film that thoroughly exemplifies American banality".

Says a lot about what kind of movie year 2018 has been that even Armond's traditionally spicy takes seems strangely lukewarm, like he's not special for seeing through the "race-hustling" and "sex-phobia" and whatever other neologisms he concocts to express his disdain for popular culture.

I'm in a really weird place with movies now. I end falling asleep the majority of the time.

I was talking about this last night. If theaters had a "walk and pace quietly" area, I would be set.

Reminds me of professors that would recommend you get up and pace in the back of the room if you feel yourself getting sleepy.
Good thing you can only get it on home media then.

I can't articulate the Spike Lee Joint, but it wasn't one of his better movies. I don't like all of them, but Do the Right Thing is my favorite. I never saw Malcom X.

Green Book was too saccharin sweet with no sense of weight or consequence and then the issues that flew over my head are another thing.

Ali is *wow* though. This season of True Detective is the first t.v./streaming/etc that I've been excited about seeing, all because of him and his presence.
