Biggest thing to being a gray man is really just about how you move, which is kinda interesting when you think about it.

Definitely. I'm familar with what you're talking about and it has a big impact on the things I wear. If I can't disappear into a crowd I am doing it wrong.
I have found that an iron works best when attempting to change my skin tone.
Not keen on tan meself, comes with too much risk of melanoma.

Gray man is where it's at!
Gray/charcoal is another great neutral, but depending on how white you are it can make you look sickly.
