Please do let me know. I have thought a lot replacing the POS we got but at least it ain’t as bad as the years I had to use a spade shovel. And we got way more snow back then so thank god I was young and dumb.
The shovel I bought is just under twenty bucks, so I figured it's a good investment if it's at all decent. Plus, we have only the one shovel. Since there are two of us, maybe we could actually both shovel sometimes, if necessary. (But I'm using the new shovel!)

I got out and shoveled the front sidewalks (about 150-200 feet) and then shoveled a path from the side door to each of our vehicles. That's it for now. We have a huge driveway (not just straight, but it has a huge square area in front of the two garage doors in addition to the 200 feet from the house to the street) but I'm not going to hand-shovel that just because hubby dawdled getting the snowblower fixed. My back was already a little achy after doing the front sidewalks and that path. (I took some ibuprofen.)
I broomed off my car in case I want to go anywhere. I'll just deal with the snow on the driveway by gunning it to get out.
And yes, our driveway is full of cracks and uneven seams, so shoveling is awful. Even snowblowing can be tricky if you keep hitting those seams wrong.
The good news is that the city had to dig for some new gas lines in the front AND back of our house in the past two years... and they gave everyone brand new sidewalks! So no more bad cracks and seams to shovel, at least!
