The Shoutbox
The Shoutbox Tyrant has moved the shout(s) in this general area to this thread.
So it shall be written.
Shall I merge them into BobbyB's thread on the subject?
Let's take this to the thread at this point I guess...
starting to become the Mulholland Box
I noticed a few typos in my shout so I zapped the old one and posted a corrected version. Only took a moment, since I always keep long posts/shouts on the clipboard, just in case.
Dude! What are you doing?
I haven't tried anything other than 2 yet, but it's only been around 6 months.

At first, I was completely enamored with Netflix. It was almost flawless. Now, I'm seeing shipping delays and problems cropping up fairly often. I've had to "report" two movies that I mailed back but which they didn't receive, and on 3 or 4 occasions they've mailed movies a day or two late for no apparent reason.

This isn't a huge deal, but it's pretty grating when I actually stop by a post office or make a specific point to watch a movie by a certain date so I can have the next one by a specific day, and then it takes them a day longer than usual to register that its been returned.

Still worth it, though.
This is how I do it.

Monday: Receive movie 1, watch it that night.
Tuesday: Send out movie 1, receive movie 2 and watch movie 2 that night.
Wednesday: Send out movie 2, get movie 3 and watch it that night.
Thursday: Send out movie 3, receive movie 1 and watch it that night.

That's the schedule I try and keep.
Oh yea, 2 movies is perfect for me. I, uh, "watch" one and send it back. Then do the same for the other. It's the switching pattern.

I was on 3-at-a-time for a while, but it was a bad deal for me, as I don't power through the films fast enough, especially at this time of year. Three at a time just doesn;t make sense, the way the mailing works, timing wise. Working all day, each day, I have time for one film at night, as I have a lot of other responsibilities to take care of. The mailing system take just but two days to fully turn the films around. I mail one in, and two days later, my next film arrives, leaving me exactly one day in between to watch the second film. Even with this plan, I don't keep up, because I would rather be outdoors in the summer, or trying to pick up blubbering druggies.

I have had netflix for years, and the 2-at-a-time plan is by far the best for me, as I have tried everything from 1-3 at a time over the years. With three, they just end up sitting around.

If the mailing takes longer for you, or you have more free time than I do, or ever will have, the other plan will probably be better for you...
Ugh...I'm just saying it's annoying.

Nothing else. Not that she's an awful actress in that role, I just found her character annoying. That's all I'm saying.
