I'm in an odd situation. If they do play it here, I'd likely see it, but as you know I'm (gasp!) not a huge fan of the film to this point. However, I've been told it's the type of flick that grows on you, and it seems like it would be helped by the big screen, so I'd probably give it another shot.
Yes, the National Aquarium kicks arse. That would be worth the trip if you JUST saw that. Of course, don't forget to see Blade Runner.
Or fly on out to Portland. It'll have to be on your dime, of course, but I'll meet you at The Cinema 21. How about the 9:25 show tonight?
If I still lived there I'd meet you guys for the day, show you the town a bit, indoctrinate you to that movie on the big screen.
I still think you guys should drive down to Baltimore this weekend or the next, take in the Inner Harbor, maybe go the the National Aquarium, get some good local food in Fell's Point, then see Blade Runner. Make a whole day of it.
MoFo's been pretty busy lately.
Maybe so JMC, but this is the stuff of legend
One commentator posted: “Oh, who cares? The whole bloody lot of them were gay as far I’m concerned. All those hours of movies and not a single car chase, shootout or kung fu fight.”
I told them I didn't want to have to drive to Baltimore to see it. Which is true, if misleading. But do get locals to, not hound them, but let them know it's what you want to see programmed. If they can go to Warner Bros. with four dozen e-mails requesting a screening, it really will help their cause.
But seriously, I'd get as many people as you think would be interested in the area to e-mail them about Blade Runner. If they get the feeling there's a groundswell of rabid support, it'll help your and the theater's chances.
Yoda & Austruck, the Pittsburg area theater got back to me and said, "We don't have concrete plans yet but I am definitely looking into it. Right now, it is only available in NY and LA is what I've read so far. I will email you with any updates as they happen."

I then informed him of all the other cities is is currently playing and will be playing in by the end of November.

So if you do get Blade Runner: The Final Cut, I think it's due in part to me. And you're welcome.
Wow, THIS has to be one of the worst articles I've read in a long time.
