I’m the same. My car was comically cheap when I bought it (6?) years ago it was 9k (adorable, right). Been serving me since and don’t plan on changing it anytime soon, survived one car crash in it and am still here. Family keep pushing me to get a shiny new car, but I can for the life of me see what for. I barely drive.

My gf got that car/color/wheel combo last year and we took it to the beach. It’s great! Fit and finish of the interior is nice and gas mileage is right @ 30mpg with a decent engine and powertrain. She even got a light interior(dog hair), which is hardly ever an option in my experience in recent years.

Parking brake is weird, but that’s the smallest of nits.

nothing but shitboxes here. one is even eligible for antique tags
Agreed! This one came with a great warranty, and I managed to get the dealer to tack on another year beyond that, as well.

We love it! Took it on a nice drive to go hiking on Saturday.
Excellent. Yeah, my last two cars have followed that same formula: several years old (both were like five years old when I bought them), but low mileage and new-to-me. I think I have a friend with that same car, just a slightly newer model. Looks great.

I think buying a car that's 4-5 years old really hits the sweet spot in terms of upgrade/cost.
