Same principle just different size. They were actually first on the market about a year before VHS, obviously VHS won that little war.

 I know there are some out there that still swear that Beta is better than VHS, I don't know about that but I do know we could have just as easily been watching smaller tapes for the last twenty years before DVD's started to take over.[/quote]
