It’s very helpful for me to start keeping track because there are so many movies I can’t remember if I watched or not.  Phantom Carriage sounds familiar, and I may have watched it over 10 years ago but I can’t remember.  Same thing with Reservoir Dogs. I think I watched this back in the 90’s?  But I struggle to remember much about it.  Can’t even recall if I enjoyed it.  So I figured I should have some sort of record to help me remember.[/quote]

Yeah, that's how I feel about ratings. While I think movie ratings are useless at conveying any info, I do think they have value for yourself when keeping a log of the movies you like/dislike/etc. A few months ago when I was looking at some movie ratings I gave years ago, I often said "Wow, I thought I rated this film much higher/lower" and was glad I had my rating to jog my memory.[/quote]
