I've owned all of the Vacation movies for around a decade and i only watched some of them last year. I liked Christmas Vacation more than you, not a favourite or anything but i thought it was pretty fun and liked it better than the first, not seen the other two. Like Force Awakens a bit more than you, i think i have just let go of my childhood star wars fanboy so my expectations going in aren't what they used to be and i think it's entertaining.
Sicko is something i'll never watch, i personally hate Michael Moore and i'm not good with medical stuff. |

I guess it depends on how kinky you think Big Hero 6 is? I mean, it's not too far off being a potential porn title actually. And the plot centers around a boy and his blow-up doll. |
@MovieMeditation: That's too bad! :( I demand you to be more kinky next time.

"1" MovieMeditation presents... HIS FILM DIARY 2015 The year is no spelling mistake total movie count ........... viewing day count __________________________ December 28th —— 2014 —— BIG HERO 6 —— animation —— DISNEY CLASSIC no.54 https://i2.wp.com/momconfessionals.c...?fit=140%2C200 REWATCH With ‘Big Hero 6’, Disney brings forward their duplicate effort to the adopted sister studio, Pixar, and their major superhero success, The Incredibles’. The two films are fairly different, but not drastically so, because they both deal with some of the same subjects, like family and individual differences, despite doing so in their own distinctive ways. The main reason why I think the comparison is credible, is because they both seem to aim for adventure, action and entertainment more so than previous films from the studios… ‘Big Hero 6’ doesn’t brake much new ground, yet the action-heavy and color-amplified cinema experience awards the audience with something fresh even so. I found the visuals and effects to create quite the ride, but even for all the action, the heart of the story was still very well drawn and felt rewarded and substantial. That has a lot to do with Baymax, where Disney once again succeeds in creating a character that is simple on paper but complex in personality, not unlike that of EVE, from ‘WALL·E’. The inflatable Baymax fills the room with a breeze of fresh air and expands upon the thematic beats of the story, which then collimates in the climax of the movie, where all the story elements merge together, like the microbots from the film. ‘Big Hero 6’ hails individualism, perhaps almost too openly, but thankfully the mystery plot keeps things a little more exciting throughout so the film doesn’t lose its breath completely. I don’t know, to me this movie is just so easily accessible and with a character like Baymax to keep things afloat and my attention away from blatant story beats and generic character actions, I find this movie to be just fine – not too sappy and not too overblown. Because it is very much a Marvel flick in Disney clothing, so you kind of know what to expect already. It is more or less exactly how I would imagine a Marvel film would be, if Disney had their hands on it, so it was hard to be disappointed – especially since my expectations were rather low before watching it. https://i.makeagif.com/media/7-29-2015/ft5wx0.gif __________________________ THE END OF AN ERA |

But I'm surprised you feel that way, since I like to believe he is one of the few currently working directors who are consistently good, I have pretty much seen all of his films except his directorial debut, and I wouldn't call any of them bad. I'm interested in knowing your thoughts on the films of his you dislike. |

"EPILOGUE" MovieMeditation presents... HIS REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS 2015 Help me please my ego... total movie count ........... viewing day count 316 .......................... 361 __________________________ This is some my personal favourite review segments in this thread throughout the years 1. Birdman run-on sentence http://i61.tinypic.com/wrfexw.jpg Because of Birdman's one-take approach, I decided to make the visual segment of my review the same thing, in which I made an attempt to make as long a sentence as possible in the vein of the movie.
The Technical Aspect
One of the most applauded and not the least excellent characteristics of the movie 'Birdman', is the rather impressive fact, that almost the entire approximately two hour long running time is captured in a visually stunning and ultra-ambitious manner, that shockingly presents the entire multi-layered course of action as one long unbroken continuity-clip, in which the characters in the story comes and goes on perfectly timed occasions and locations, the action and its focus shifts from various destinations over a longer period of time, the characters undergo a monumental and deeply personal development in just a few short days, and last but not least the audiences experience how it all comes crashing down in the final climax of the film, when multiple critics and all the citizens of New York are living witnesses to Riggan Thomson’s crazy attempt to widen out his talent, in his hugely ambitious and very personal Broadway adaption entitled "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love ". 2. Corpse Bride poem paragraph https://s22.postimg.org/otwovt6hd/co..._1920x1080.jpg I decided to describe what passage I liked best about Corpse Bride in doing so in the vein of the movie: with a song. I decided to do the rhyme scheme almost exactly after the actual song in the film, According to Plan... After a while I decided just to go with it and ended up doing quite a lengthy little addition to the song in the movie...
Scoring a soaring piece of artistic beauty is one thing, but Elfman also wrote and composed each and every song, which happens to be some of my favorite musical makings ever in an already constantly creative film. Starting from the creative cross-cutting intro piece that…
describes the plot while our guests reach the spot; not giving anything away but just enough to clearly say – it’s a beautiful and terrible day for a wedding. We see them crossing the street in a carriage, but only so to ensure the marriage. When one family leaves another one grieves; one is broke beyond belief the other in social mischief – but both make profit from this glorious wedding. Soon they set feet in a place where they rehearse for days, but the groom somehow cannot get it. He walks for hours to practice his vowels, but he seems to be completely out of luck. But all of a sudden there’s change, he stumbles slightly but finds his pace; his words come fluent and he starts to dance, he bows down faintly and put the ring on a branch. He did it all well, no more need to rehearse, but little did he know he just lifted a curse. While Victor was in trance he proposed to a branch, but I can tell you it was worse than you think; with some vowels and a dance, there was a change of plans and his bride became a corpse in a blink. Once a bride now a corpse, left for dead but of course; now she walks in the land of the living. The groom turned practice to mistake, left the dead wide awake – this is a terrible day for a wedding. __________________________ 3. (Aristo)Cat metaphors! https://s9.postimg.org/7u3aocz6n/The..._DVD_Cover.jpg This review contains a bunch of unapologetic cat metaphors... and it's kind of fun.
The plot feels far from hairy, but the cute and consistent Disney is also a joy to watch. I do like how they blended the story of the movie with a more modernized musical direction, which makes it feel less flat and more furbished. You could say that like a cat, Disney does something quite elegant here, but is kind of also licking its own a**hole one too many times…
__________________________ 3. Dog puns! http://i62.tinypic.com/29vmhat.jpg I am a dog person myself, so this had to happen... Anyways, the review is more than just dog metaphors though; I did end up being quite satisfied with the way that this review turned out.
But there is also a wolf in sheep’s clothing among us, who is anything but tradition, which is of course, Cruella De Vil. What a character! This furious fur collector is so extremely intimidating, and when she tries to sound sweet she comes off as too sugary, with that oozing cigarette just adding to the bitter aftertaste of her presence. Her appearance is so perfectly designed, a woman dressed to kill in the finest of fur clothing, carrying her character on the outside, while underneath she is actually this empty soul who can break like a stick if she doesn’t wear her fake costume or drive her fancy car. When wanting to have “the cape of a superwoman”, she sets out on a mission to collect fur from little innocent puppies, but little does she know that those who are in fact suited to fit the fur like the tight glove on her skeletal hand, has the power to completely overrule her. Her black and white personality is ultimately fooled by dogs with a black and white perception, but it is just enough to cloud her judgment.
‘101 Dalmatians’ is a fun flick from Disney, which may not stand as the strongest of the bunch, but it has plenty of charm and heartwarming themes to satisfy the everyday viewer. It is nice and furry on the outside and even warmer on the inside, which may leave it without much depth, but this film doesn’t really need it nor does it aim for it. I can definitely find some flaws here and there, but I can also provide you with one hundred and two reasons to watch this film – it has one hundred and one charming Dalmatians and one hell of a crazy bitch. Enough said. __________________________ 4. Home on the ROAST https://3.bp.blogspot.com/_brx_1wgj9...00/HomeDVD.jpg I absolutely hated the God awful Disney flick that is Home on the Range and decided that a review just didn't work. It needed to be roasted to pieces...
The animation is half-assed and lazy, and the story is so straightforward, that the two of them are battling each other for the “most simple outline ever” award… This is an out-and-out insult of a movie, that should have just stayed out… out of production, out of even being thought up, if there was even any thought involved at all to begin with. This stupid “cow movie” doesn’t even deserve a review, but it needs a proper ROAST, that’s for sure – and I’ll take that well-done, please, I want to make sure it’s completely dead. But then again, the characters are so thin and empty in this movie, I don’t even know if you could cut a decent steak out of it… I would sure love to slice into it though with a blunt butter knife – but that’s probably the producers that needs cutting more than anything. They better have their paycheck cut off immediately, at the least, before I step in and do the cutting for them… and I’m not talking about paychecks.
