wow, thanks for all the recommendations. now all i need is some free time to
go search for the movies and watch them

You should check out The Cell. Most of the movie takes place inside the mind of a serial killer. It's visually one of the most amazing films I've ever seen.

i think i may have seen that movie, im not sure. is there a part where someone is taking out
the guts of a woman with like one of those things you rotate to cook a chicken? haha sry, thats the best explanation of the scene i can come up with.

Yeah, that's The Cell. It's a pretty good flick, and like the one who mentioned it noted, very nice to look at. Picture The Silence of the Lambs meets Pan's Labyrinth and you should have idea of what it's like.

Here's a few more unmentioned sci-fi films that I think you may enjoy:
The Abyss
Brazil
Equilibrium
Escape from New York
Event Horizon
The Fly ('86)
Mad Max
Mad Max II
The Matrix
Pitch Black
Predator
Silent Running
Stargate
Strange Days
Videodrome

... and if you like the classics, try:
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde ('31)
Forbidden Planet
Frankenstein ('31)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers ('56)
The Invisible Man ('33)
The Quatermass Experiment

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.

Metropolis (1927)

Things to Come (1936)

The Man Who Could Worl Miracles (1936)

Back to the Future and its sequels.

LOL, tbh i actually liked this movie a bit.

I would also check out Sunshine from Danny Boyle. It's a really good sci thriller in the mould of Event Horizen and maybe Alien.
