Many call the film a parody of many other movies but Shaun really is a highly inventive and incredibly clever throwback to the horror genre, with a ton of new stuff thrown in and lashings of typical Pegg And Frost humour.

Parodying George A. Romero's 1978 classic zombie flick [i]Dawn of the Dead[/i], this British offering adds something to the zombie genre that seems to have been absent for too long...comedy and love! .
Optimus
Romero, creator of the films that this movie pays homage to and lampoons, was so impressed with Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright's work that he asked them to appear in Land of the Dead (2005), the fourth part of his Dead series, in cameos as zombies.
