The MoFo 2009 Oscar Pool

Tools

Okay, so, given that we're all competitive bastards (I'm the most competitive! Me! Not you!), I figured it'd make sense to round up everyone's Oscar predictions for bragging/shaming rights.

Oddly enough, there's no sign of Yahoo's usual Oscar Pool dealie, and alternatives have proven (to this reporter, at least) hard to find. Anyone know of a good Oscar pool site we can use?

If not, I suppose we can just dump them all in here. I know a few of you have already posted them in the nominees thread, for example.

Get it on record, MoFos, or we'll never believe you if you nail 'em.

Will your system be alright, when you dream of home tonight?

Oh fantastico!

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Are these all your alter ego's Chris? Too funny.

I'll try to get all mine in this weekend I'm notoriously bad at prognostication however so uh, yeah I'm sure you all can't wait.

Looks like Yahoo isn't doing the Oscar pool thing this year, for some reason. How weird. Weirder still: I can't find any place offering the same sort of thing. Anyone come across anything yet? Would it be worthwhile for me to try to whip something together real quick?

Ok, so not actualy seen Ben Button but have feeling with it's Americanisms well be favoured. Slumdog seems like it's got the content for a winner but i think Fincher will be favoured over Boyle, however i imagine Fincher will have more Oscar noms in years to come than Boyle so they may hold out giving him one.

There are a few more categories, but I'll predict those in the chat room as we go, I 'spose. Sadly, I think The Dark Knight is going to get the Ledger win, and not much else. But I wouldn't mind being wrong about that.

I wish I hadn't of voted in a few of the polls already but I'll stick with my votes I guess. Its not like I'm betting money on these things and hey, maybe the Academy will surprise me.

Suspect's Reviews

I really wish that my poor, feeble old 72 year old sister, Isha, wouldn't steal my computer passwords and do things like log on to Movie Forums as me and post INCORRECT Oscar predictions.

Obviously, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button didn't have a chance of winning, neither did Marisa Tomei. Kung Fu Panda as Best Animated Feature? She must be taking some new drugs that I'm not aware of.

Although, she was pretty intuitive to guess that Sean Penn would beat Mickey Rourke, as well as wins for Kate Winslet, Danny Boyle and Heath Ledger. Oh, and I see she got the Best Song right as well. Good for Isha! Maybe daddy was right when he said he noticed some psychic ability in her. But just some.

Oh, and now she's telling me over my shoulder that she psychically guessed my Movie Forums password, although it took her eleven tries. Oh, well. Okay, gotta put that old broad to bed before my call girl comes over - Isha makes a scene if she's awake. Anybody wanna take Isha off my hands? I know one of you wants to, but I'm not gonna say who, cause he would be embarrassed. Just PM me. I am discreet.
