To be 100% honest, I think I'd vote to keep the one we have now if it was an option. I'm definitely looking forward to the new design, but I feel like those things are like some sort of MoFo staple. It might be nice just to keep one part of the site's past.

... and I actually really like the design, as it happens.

The current design looks more like popcorn.

The other one... it could be a tall peanut butter cup.

I don't like the current one. It took me forever to figure out what it was supposed to be and I may have had to have someone tell me.

I think they should be animated popcorn boxes, with popcorn spilling out of the boxes. Think Nebbit's smileys gone all popcorn box.

I like the first one as well. It looks more like an older school type of Popcorn bag. Kind of a weird reason to pick it but hey, I'm like that I guess.

I think there's still room for improvement... that's almost going too severe... it might be that blue thing in the middle. Could you change it to an M in the middle? And for some reason, I'm thinking it needs more gray/silver.

Hahaha, no way. I love all the cool stuff you come up with, whether it gets used or not (though you'll never top the avatar I'm using--he made this, everybody!). I do agree with SC that's a little too bright, though. If we were going to stick with something that bright we'd probably keep the existing one.

I am rather curious about how many people prefer the existing ones out of mere familiarity. But I admit that's a hard thing to judge.

On that note, I guess I really wouldn't have much of an input, I've only been here two days. However, if people want to keep the old image, if I have any input at all, it's that I'm fine with that. Part of a forum is keeping as many people happy as possible without doing anything that seriously wrongs other people. An image change, or not having one, probably won't make much of a difference.

I like the old popcorn boxes a lot.

But you know what they look like? They look like popcorn boxes out of a Garfield comic strip.



I'm sorta reminded of his bowl of food for some reason. Only yellow and blue.

Oh, God. I'm in hell. I completely agree with SC. I prefer the second one, for the same reasons and I'd prefer to keep the current one. This new year sucks!.

The yellow and the red bleed together, whereas the yellow and blue clearly stand out. At least on the ones Rodent's posted. Maybe it's just me but that's how I see it.

Yeah, maybe the boxes should be blue on the new ones.

Seems like it ought to have a least a bit of Mofo green in there. But if not that, then I think the first one is OK.
