haute tension

I just watched High tension again for the 500 time. I love this movie, My fav part is showing it to others and seeing the look of suprise.

What are your thoughts about this movie?

Good atmosphere - Terrible screenplay with a contrived twist.

I HATE this stupid movie. To call the twist of the film convoluted doesn't really signal exactly how cheap and insulting it is.

I like Ebert's observation that a van is literally driven through the plot hole in the movie.

I'm with Mike: I like the atmosphere and some of the individual elements, but it'd be a lot better if it'd just lose the moronic twist.

Great movie, until the twist.

That seems to be the consensus.

Seems like I'm with the majority here. Ridiculous and contrived.

I just had to "like" everyone's post in this thread because the twist ending is so terrible. That said, I find the lead girl in the film to be extremely hot, if that matters to anyone!
