10 worst films ever created

WSSLover, which version of Body Snatchers were you talking about? I don't remember much gore in the 70s version. I think there was a version in the early 90s, which I haven't seen, and I am wondering if this was the version you saw. The one I am talking about was from 1978, and it stars Donald Sutherland, Leonard Nimoy, and Jeff Goldblum.
Yah, Abel Ferrara did a version entitled Body Snatchers in 1993, believe it was the 3rd of 4 remakes and was set in an Army Base. I've not seen it but from what i've heard it's meant to have its share of gore, as you'd expect from Ferrara, director of Driller Killer

Word. I never saw that version, as I am such a big fan of the 70s version. Scared the **** out of me as a kid.

Yeah, Sutherland in that final shot is pretty haunting. Find the studio intervention in the original and now the latest remake (The Invasion) somewhat interesting but glad the 70s version nailed a pretty solid vision.

I have to admit, I have never seen the original version, and should probably be sacked. Unfortunately, the people in charge of sacking me, have been sacked.

At least you've got your Monty Python down, or the start of Holy Grail at least

The original had that classic ending with him screaming into the traffic warning of the danger and being ignored, a pessimistic ending the studio weren't happy with so they added an epilogue and prologue that sets the film in a flashback and hinted at positive outcome. The Invasion was just a complete mess, imagine Hirschbiegel's original cut may have been good but the Wachowski's hacked it up good and proper. The original's themes of McCarthyism and such were handled subtly and effectively, The Invasion was a ham-fisted attempt at political message of war.

You need to see it, it's brilliant. I've seen all versions apart from 'The Invasion' which isn't supposed to be any good, so I don't think I'll bother. I think the 70's one is great, love the downbeat ending. I also think the Abel Ferrera version is good too, but the original is still the one for me.

My list would be:

1. Balls of Fury
2. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
3. Blair Witch Project
4. Daredevil
5. Mystery Men
6. Joe Dirt
7. Joe's Apartment
8. A Vampire in Brooklyn
9. Superman IV: Quest for Peace
10. Bio-Dome

while I am to lazy to give you my top ten or in this case bottom ten, there is this movie named loyed i watched it at 4 in the morning and it was about a kid that liked a girl and he was a geek. The thing i can't get over is the kid was just so ugly i couldn't bare to watch the whole thing. And some parts were so random it felt like you were on crack.

The narrative was quite clear to me, and I rather liked the use of color and the cinematography in this flick. Sure, the film is all about understatement, as far as the performances and plot lines, but that doesn't mean it (the film) doesn't have things to say. I enjoyed the subtle longing the characters began to go through, as their forbidden attraction for one another grew. It slowly coalesced, like a painting, before our eyes.

All this aside, the film looks GREAT, and that alone should keep it off any "worst ever" list, as far as I am concerned. With films like Troll 2 and Ishtar out there, there just has to be better choices for the list.

As for Stuck on You - Damn right.
It's pretty but as I remember it, it was understated to the point where nothing actually happened. So bizarrely I'm considering rewatching it- maybe because it was shot nicely.

However (SORT OF A SPOILER) I was shouting 'get together' thoughout the film so I was pretty annoyed that nothing at all happened. Gatsby is subtle obsession but even in that there's a kiss.

I hate films that trick me

Fair enough. it definitely has a subtle plot, and I guess I enjoyed the restraint. I am thinking that at that time, getting together would have been so taboo, so "wrong in the eyes of God" according to these God fearing characters, that they just couldn't cross that line. All the more reason for the longing...

So, I guess the question is, is a film about longing without resolution inherently dull?

Could be...

Bańeros 3 Todopoderosos
(Is supposed to be a funny movie, but is just too bad, I don't think anyone here is going to see it, and that is good.)

\m/ Fade To Black \m/
Blair Witch Project is probably the worst film ever what a load of rubbish.

Far from it. I like the film quite a bit. There is some effective stuff in there and I like the whole home-shot feel of it. It isn't all that and a bag of chips as some people will say, but I own a copy and i give it, oh...

Check out The Cinema Snob's hilarious review of Woodchipper Massacre, surely one of the worst films evermade.

I havent seen most of those movies on the list so i can't realy comment. But Joe Dirt was awesome!

You could say it was a dumb comedy but the movie actualy had a plot and emotion to it. I mean it wasn't that funny but the plot realy sucked me in. In fact i will watch it 2 night
