Got closer than it had any right to be, but no comeback could be completed. First place is yours!

I had one of those weeks where I lost, but I also had enough positives that I am very encouraged for Week Four and beyond.
First the badness and the ugliness. The Washington Commanders got their butts collectively handed to them by Buffalo, leaving my WR
Terry McLaurin and RB
Brian Robinson weakly grasping for points. They only managed 7.10 and 7.00 points, respectively. Next up for Washington are the undefeated Eagles, but those division games are almost always competitive. I expect bounce backs from both, win or lose.
Who I no longer expect to bounce back is The Jets'
Breece Hall. Supernaturally talented, but so far without Aaron Rodgers, New York finds themselves quickly playing from behind and their opponents able to key in on the run game, making Hall irrelevant for Fantasy purposes. Until either Zach Wilson proves he can be effective or they move to a more seasoned backup, I simply cannot, should not, and will not start Breece. His 3.20 this week coupled with the 0.90 the week before sealed it.
I know everyone who leaves a pile of points on their bench laments that they "almost" started them, but that is indeed what happened to me this week. On an historic scale. Because Breece had been so ineffective I was toying with sitting him and going with Dolphins rookie
De'Von Achane. Jeff Wilson was out and it looked like Salvon Ahmed might be out against Denver too, leaving Achane number two behind Mostert. Sadly I did NOT make that switch, I gave Breece one more week. Of course in that crazy 80-20 beat down by Miami, Achane scored FOUR TDs for a total of an outrageous 49.30 Fantasy points! A mere 46.10 point difference from Breece Hall's score. Yes, that would have given me an easy win for Week Three and propelled me into first place, but now that Miami has officially seen what he is capable of he clearly ain't goin' back to riding the bench. I may have found my new number one RB with some cathedral-like ceilings.
The good players I DID start were
Tua Tagovailoa, who amassed a gawdy 36.36 in that free-for-all,
Justin Jefferson who had his first TD in yet another Vikings loss but was good for 24.40, and with Joe Burrow looking more like himself my kicker
Evan McPherson had his first real opportunities of the season resulting in four FGs, two from beyond 50-yards (and he missed a third), plus a PAT for 19.00 points!
Michael Pittman had another decent day in the upset in Baltimore for a steady 12.20.
My TEs continue to be a black hole. I started
Zach Ertz who got only 1.60 and had
Hunter Henry on the bench, but he only had a 2.70. What a choice.
It all added up to my first total score to crest a hundred points (113.86). So I am 2-1, but with Achane in my lineup I may be set up for more future successes than failures?
