Adams might make you sweat but looking fairly likely I'm gonna have the 2nd highest score and just happen to play the team with the highest, thanks largely to that bonkers Miami game.

Nice of him to at least make it so the outcome isn't a foregone conclusion, though.

The trick is not minding
Looks like Mike Williams is done for the year. Another blow to Yoda’s roster. What looked like a pretty deep team has now lost a player for the third week in a row. (Johnson wk1, Montgomery Wk2, Williams Wk3).

And he still put up 139 points this week.

Wait what? I had no idea. I just saw he put up another good total on my bench and had some probably rote post-game designation.

Crap the heck.

Yeah, I didn’t know he was injured until I checked my other team he was rostered on and saw the “O” by him.

ESPN saying it’s a torn ACL.
That team of mine has now lost Chubb, Barkley and now Williams. Oof

Zoinks, yeah I see it now. With Johnson and Montgomery that's my 6th, 7th, and 8th round picks, all in a row.

Thought I'd scored two huge mid-draft gems in Montgomery and Williams, too. Former still could be, I suppose.

Holdens kicker is trying to outdo Matt Gays performance yesterday. 2 50+ yard field goals, 2 40-49 yard field goals and an extra point. 19 fantasy points so far. 7 min left in 4th qtr. If he can kick 7 more fantasy points he'll beat me, and have outperformed Justin Jefferson.

Got closer than it had any right to be, but no comeback could be completed. First place is yours!

I had one of those weeks where I lost, but I also had enough positives that I am very encouraged for Week Four and beyond.

First the badness and the ugliness. The Washington Commanders got their butts collectively handed to them by Buffalo, leaving my WR Terry McLaurin and RB Brian Robinson weakly grasping for points. They only managed 7.10 and 7.00 points, respectively. Next up for Washington are the undefeated Eagles, but those division games are almost always competitive. I expect bounce backs from both, win or lose.

Who I no longer expect to bounce back is The Jets' Breece Hall. Supernaturally talented, but so far without Aaron Rodgers, New York finds themselves quickly playing from behind and their opponents able to key in on the run game, making Hall irrelevant for Fantasy purposes. Until either Zach Wilson proves he can be effective or they move to a more seasoned backup, I simply cannot, should not, and will not start Breece. His 3.20 this week coupled with the 0.90 the week before sealed it.

I know everyone who leaves a pile of points on their bench laments that they "almost" started them, but that is indeed what happened to me this week. On an historic scale. Because Breece had been so ineffective I was toying with sitting him and going with Dolphins rookie De'Von Achane. Jeff Wilson was out and it looked like Salvon Ahmed might be out against Denver too, leaving Achane number two behind Mostert. Sadly I did NOT make that switch, I gave Breece one more week. Of course in that crazy 80-20 beat down by Miami, Achane scored FOUR TDs for a total of an outrageous 49.30 Fantasy points! A mere 46.10 point difference from Breece Hall's score. Yes, that would have given me an easy win for Week Three and propelled me into first place, but now that Miami has officially seen what he is capable of he clearly ain't goin' back to riding the bench. I may have found my new number one RB with some cathedral-like ceilings.

The good players I DID start were Tua Tagovailoa, who amassed a gawdy 36.36 in that free-for-all, Justin Jefferson who had his first TD in yet another Vikings loss but was good for 24.40, and with Joe Burrow looking more like himself my kicker Evan McPherson had his first real opportunities of the season resulting in four FGs, two from beyond 50-yards (and he missed a third), plus a PAT for 19.00 points! Michael Pittman had another decent day in the upset in Baltimore for a steady 12.20.

My TEs continue to be a black hole. I started Zach Ertz who got only 1.60 and had Hunter Henry on the bench, but he only had a 2.70. What a choice.

It all added up to my first total score to crest a hundred points (113.86). So I am 2-1, but with Achane in my lineup I may be set up for more future successes than failures?

Tough loss Yoda, but on the bright side, you have a decent team (again) And should make it to the playoffs as a favorite (again).

Especially when Montgomery returns.

Reminds me of when I scored 139 and still lost to Parrotheads…who scored 163

My kicker missed a 50 yarder that would've won it, too.

One of my other teams lost by less than a point.

What a weird week.

Week?! I'm first place, undefeated, and the least amount of points scored in the league. This season math has no meaning. I'm a plate of fried chicken just hoping a bunch of weight watchers can hold out.

Fubble, random as ever.

Your team might be perfectly solid though, you put up a good total this past week. Sometimes you get lucky or unlucky early in the year and your team plays up or down to that afterwards so it ends up kinda normal in the end. Which makes sense, the longer you play the more all this stuff evens out. It's just possible for it to take a few seasons to do that, sometimes.

Only three weeks in, but so far my burden of having the first pick hasn't bitten me in the ass, yet. I was right to be weary of Chase's numbers out of the gate with a less-than-100% Burrow. He had his first significant game last night but has amassed only 32.30 points thus far. McCaffery is doing great, of course, and he has 65.80 points. But I took Justin Jefferson and even without Minnesota winning a game yet he is just behind Christian at 63.30 total points. I am hoping if and when The Vikings truly get into gear J.J.'s numbers will start spiking. But so far being able to pencil in a steady 21 points even when they are losing is darn nice.

Speaking of first rounders, I admit to expecting more from Derrick Henry, seemed to be a rock for championship winning owners the past few years.

The real disappointment though has been Najee Harris, whats up with him?!
