The film takes its time with the opening half hour, really establishing the dynamics of the town and setting up some relationships between the men who will ultimately drive the trucks.
Thief
Even during the first act, as Clouzot takes his time to introduce the characters and set the premise, the tension between these men seeps through the screen.

The way this movie differs from its re-imagination has both positives and negatives.The movie tries to describe the plight of its characters verbally in this movie where as in Sorcerer its visual.
