That narrows it down....
He is accused of killing a guy in a southern county. I can't remember his name. Rocco something. Escaped from Sharpes Hospital, if you want to look him up.

Sounds a lot like the plot of Halloween to me

I had an attack of explosive diarrhea at the cinema today - very embarrassing. Just got to the toilet in time. I sat watching Chappie all sweaty and pale. I felt even worse after watching it.

So at least one component of their target audience is most certainly not interested.
I am part of that group as well but doesn't it seem like the target is children in the 10 year old range that wouldn't know the characters?
Exactly!

Terrible!
Luckily this person wanted me to see how bad it was, so I was free to ridicule. I just don't know who the audience is for this. I get it with Grown Ups. I don't get it here.
I presume it's the relatively low production cost of comedies when compared to epic sci-fi or something along those lines. They must take a lot more risks on these low-rent flicks where they have much less to lose.

If people watch it, it will get made? Uh, what? I think you meant "If the studio thinks people will watch it, it will get made."

How can people watch something if it hasn't been made yet?
There are plenty of lame comedies which did great at the box office, that's what I'm saying. Even other Adam Sandler flicks like "Jack and Jill" which got savaged by critics managed to turn a profit
