Rank Tim Burton's movies.

Tools

Of the ones I've seen, my rankings would be:

1. Edward Scissorhands
2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
3. Beetlejuice
4. Batman
5. Big Fish
6. Frankenweenie
7. Alice in Wonderland
8. Dark Shadows
9. Planet of the Apes

1.Batman
2.Beetlejuice
3.Batman Returns
4.Edward Scissorhands
5.Sleepy Hollow
6.Mars Attacks!
7.Planet of the Apes
8.Big Fish
9.Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
10.Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

A system of cells interlinked
1 Mars Attacks
2 Edward Scissorhands
3 Sleepy Hollow
4 Big Fish
5 Beetlejuice
6 Batman
7 Planet of the Apes
8 Batman Returns (The third act is way too goofy for me).

I did NOT like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - just a terrible film from start to finish. He never should have remade it. I've not seen Sweeney Todd, and have little interest in doing so.

Huh? James and the Giant Peach is a Roald Dahl story and not once did I ever think "Wow, this is soooo Tim Burton" when I watched it. He's not the innovator, not the king os stop motion animation.

Let's put Para-Norman on here too cause it's stop motion and deals with gothic themes.

Did he have his hands on Nightmare Before Christmas? Without a doubt, but the fact remains...it is not a Tim Burton film. Just like Empire and Jedi are not a Lucas film.

I actually don't mind his dark style that much, the films I dislike of his are his remakes of films that didn't need to be remade, and how he CGI'ified them. I need to see Edward Scissorhands again I think, and although I have seen Batman it was so long ago that I can not remember it. I want to watch Ed Wood and Sweeney Todd, I think I will like both of them.
