Ups: Only one more day of school left before the summer holidays!

Downs: I'm sleepy

ups: Glastonbury was big mash of bizarre fun, and my mate's portable sound-system built into a theatrical coffin went down a storm after hours

downs: had to walk out on my 'green police' festival job coz i broke my glasses the day b4 the off, and wasn't really up for convincing nutters not to piss in bushes while mainly-blind (plus the 2-hour-long strategy meetings were a bit much )

ups: trying out some contact lenses that are suavicito - damn the cost, i like these things

downs: My new firewire card doesn't work. And what's more, it stopped my 'puter recognising my hardrives, making me think i'd wiped them with static electricity.

ups: Puter's working again (now i've taken the cheapie £3 card out )

Review: Cabin in the Woods 8/10

I'm still trying to get the hang of this dating lark, 'cos there were 10 years when I didn't have to put in the effort (if you know what I mean).

I also kinda like living on my own for the first time in my life.

Putting it like that would SO explain why you're living on your own for the first time in your life.

Downs: Ankle still sore (and now entire calf too!) from spraining it last week. And although the house has A/C the car does not -- and tomorrow I have to be out in the car for about three hours straight.

Ups: Won a lot of awards at a recent writers' conference and now have ideas and contacts for some publishable material.

Ouch. That stung.

Remind me to choose my words a little better next time.

Congrats on the awards and I hope your ankle is well soon… and that the temp drops a little tomorrow…
