The person above me is quicker at posting than this person is.

Rashomon is pretty high up in my Netflix queue, TPAM.
Harry Lime
04-27-09, 09:48 PM
TPAM, The Third Man should be as well. But I would recommend starting with Seven Samurai in regards to Kurosawa, a great way to be introduced to his films.
MovieMan8877445
04-27-09, 09:49 PM
Seven Samurai isn't available on Netflix right now, TPAM. I had it at the top of my Netflix last week, but then it went on save for some reason. I guess I just have to wait for it to get off save.
Dill-man
04-27-09, 09:53 PM
You should just buy the Criterion Collection version TPAM, if not for the movie but just the awesome packaging and features :p.
MovieMan8877445
04-27-09, 09:54 PM
I guess I'll have to check that out, TPAM. Thanks for the suggestion.
Harry Lime
04-27-09, 11:06 PM
I wonder if TPAM knows how expensive Criterion DVDs can be.
Dill-man
04-27-09, 11:14 PM
TPAM makes a good point. Don't buy Criterion Collection on a whim unless you have plenty of money to spend.
15 more rep until lightsaber, TPAM!!!
Dill-man
04-27-09, 11:32 PM
Is that some kind of request for rep TPAM?
Your wish is granted!
Harry Lime
04-27-09, 11:48 PM
TPAM needs 13 more rep points to receive the ever so coveted light-saber.
Then I'll sing like I've never sung before, TPAM...
Harry Lime
04-27-09, 11:52 PM
TPAM should post something profound enough in this thread that it'd be impossible not to rep.
This forum has been life-changing for me, TPATPAM and TPAM. It has shown me so many movies, and the whole community is so great.
I love you all.
Harry Lime
04-27-09, 11:57 PM
Hmm...I don't know if what TPAM posted was profound enough.
Dill-man
04-28-09, 12:01 AM
TPATPAM should screw the profound idea and just post funny pictures in the fun pictures thread :p
On the other hand, TPATPAM could just flatter the hell out of everyone on this, and we'll give you rep points :D

Iroquois
04-28-09, 12:56 AM
I would say the book is greater, though. What about you?
TPAM: dammit, you ARE getting fast, Harry.
Being John Malkovich is a good flick, TPATPAM, but the problem with it is that the characters are all completely unlikeable. It's my least favorite Kaufman film.
Yep, TPAM, the book is better. But the film does give us the best performance of Johnny Depp's career.
Harry Lime
04-28-09, 12:58 AM
I disagree with TPAM on Being John Malkovich, and likeable characters all the time can be annoying. The old man was likeable though, you gotta admit that.
TPATPAM, are you getting slower?
He's likable until he turns out to wants to take over Malkovich's life, TPAM.
Iroquois
04-28-09, 01:03 AM
TPAM may have spoiled Being John Malkovich for me.
Eh, I don't think it's a huge spoiler, TPAM. But sorry. I hate when movies are spoiled for me too.
Iroquois
04-28-09, 01:06 AM
The question is whether I'll still bother trying to see it.
Harry Lime
04-28-09, 01:15 AM
TPAM should definitely still see it, that's not a big spoiler for this film.
There was just a huge bug in here, TPAM. You know what I did to it? Smacked it. And then you know what I did to it? I got a pen and played with it. And then you know what I did with it? Flushed it down the toilet.
