I think TPAM got beaten by TPATPAM.
EDIT: Holy crap, he did it again!
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 01:31 AM
Well, where's TPATPAM's big post?
TPAM was too slow.
Iroquois
05-27-09, 01:33 AM
TPAM - he never said he made it recently.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 01:35 AM
TPAM is right about that, but he shouldn't tease us like that.
Okay TPAM, but I've written better posts in the past few weeks. I've been too nervous to post any. :( :(((((((((((((((((((((((((
Iroquois
05-27-09, 01:38 AM
What's there to be nervous about, though, TPAM?
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 01:39 AM
TPATPAM is nervous, why? Post 2600 by the way...I have no life.
Dang TPAM.
I don't know TPAM, I used to post in that thread all the time.
Iroquois
05-27-09, 01:41 AM
Haha, TPAM!
Edit: Ah, dammit.
TPAM we look so much alike it's uncanny.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 01:42 AM
TPATPAM, now that's irony!
TPAM beat me to it, again. What are you nervous about?
Iroquois
05-27-09, 01:46 AM
TPAM, it's only irony if it's raining on my wedding day, right?
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 01:48 AM
TPAM is correct!
I don't know, TPAM or TPATPAM. I'll post it once I decide to keep the pics or lose 'em.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 01:50 AM
Keep the picks, TPAM. What films are you posting in regards to?
The ones I've watched since last Monday.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 01:54 AM
Which were, TPAM?
Jeez you want me to tell you all of them, TPAM? I'll post in a second. There are 14 though, so with the pictures it might be too big.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 01:57 AM
14 in the last couple of days, looking forward to TPAM's post.
Screw it, TPAM. Posted!!!!!11111111
It just had to be the first post of the next page didn't it.
Iroquois

Harry Lime
05-27-09, 02:06 AM
Great selection of films TPAM watched recently. And nice little write-ups to go with each one, here's another rep point for your efforts.
Thanks TPAM, by the way Sherlock Jr. WAS A GREAT FILM!
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 02:09 AM
I'm a big fan too, TPAM. It's been a while since I last watched it though.
Iroquois
05-27-09, 02:09 AM
TPAM skipped me.
Dammit, Harry!
I've got to buy these Buster Keaton movies I've been watching, TPATPAM, but I don't know what to buy you know. :babbling:
TPAM is horny.
Iroquois
05-27-09, 02:13 AM
TPAM thinks I'm horny for some reason.
I guess TPAM isn't horny.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 02:14 AM
Probably because you're male, TPATPAM.
TPAM has consistently posted ahead of me today.
Iroquois
05-27-09, 02:17 AM
So has TPAM.
TPATPAM...no comment.
Okay I'll stop being personal TPAM. So, TPAM, whatcha bobbin' your head to?
Iroquois
05-27-09, 02:21 AM
Currently, Talking Heads, TPAM.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 02:22 AM
Time for this person to watch the epilogue of a 15 1/2 hour film. I'll see TP'sAM later.
What are you watching, TPAM?
Iroquois
05-27-09, 02:37 AM
Berliner Alexanderplatz (or something like that), TPAM.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 05:39 AM
It was good, TPAM. That epilogue was something else.
Iroquois
05-27-09, 06:53 AM
TPAM finished watching an epic film series.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 05:21 PM
TPAM recently reviewed a film called Mary and Max, one that I'd never heard of but definitely want to see.
Has TPAM seen Satantango or any of Bela Tarr's stuff? I want to so bad, they are all on the top of my Netflix queue. Goina be sweet.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 05:25 PM
TPAM, I have Werckmeister Harmonies sitting here, waiting to be watched.
I was thinking of starting off with that one, or starting from the beginning and seeing how Tarr changed over the years, but Satantango looks so amazing that I have to see it first.
Harry Lime
05-27-09, 05:45 PM
From what I hear about Tarr's films, they're not the most accessible, so starting of with Satantango which is 450 minutes long might not be the best idea.

05-27-09, 09:48 PM
TPAM watched a very long film the other day.

Iroquois
05-28-09, 05:46 AM
Picked up a handful of DVDs earlier this evening, finished another assignment today, am going to get started on another one tonight.
What about TPAM?
Harry Lime
05-28-09, 05:48 AM
Not too much, went to my bro's place, hung out with him and his kids, came back here and watched a flick. Good to hear you're knocking off those assignments. Which DVD's did you buy, or should I just check the thread for a post in regards to your purchases?
Iroquois
05-28-09, 05:54 AM
I think you just checked them out anyway, TPAM.
Harry Lime
05-28-09, 06:00 AM

TPAM mistook The Evil Dead for Dawn of the Dead, but still makes an interesting point regardless.
tpam, forgive me i had some wine tonite and i am all relaxxed now.... lol
You want to know something TPAM and TPATPAM? Dom has never even seen the original Dawn of the Dead.
That's OK, TPAM. He'll get around to it.
TPAM has made quite a "mark" around here. :)

Harry Lime
05-30-09, 06:00 AM
I've never seen it spelt 'secually' in my life, and it doesn't really make sense to be spelt that way. It's still better than the response I initially thought of..."Travis screws TPAM's mom too?" What do you think TPAM? Too harsh?
Iroquois
05-30-09, 06:05 AM
I'm tempted to say "Not harsh enough", but yeah, I'd advise against it, TPAM.

Also, TPAM: it's a quote from Donnie Darko. :)

Harry Lime
06-01-09, 10:46 PM
Good call, TPAM. Make sure you like his style before walking into a 7 hour film. I wouldn't mind seeing Satantango myself but I can't find a copy, or anything else directed by Tarr for that matter.

Iroquois
06-02-09, 12:40 AM
I should say.
How's the revised favourites list coming along, by the way?
Decently, TPAM. I have my top 9 set in stone, although they mixed around quite a bit. My #1 is all good and concrete, has been since January.
Hmmm can you guess what it is? ;)
I can, TPAM, but it's not a guess and it's not worth a cool mill.
Iroquois
06-02-09, 12:54 AM
Jacob's Ladder? Midnight Cowboy? Harold and Maude? Slumdog Millionaire?
You can tell I'm grasping at straws here, TPATPAM.
TPAM got in before me.
I was saying that sarcastically TPATPAM, I'm sure everyone knows. :p
TPAM - the last one you mentioned. The second one you mentioned is #2 on my list.
Harry Lime

TPAM, I don't buy DVD's anymore.
Iroquois

I had a feeling it might have been Slumdog, but then I thought "I don't know, he doesn't seem like the type to throw a movie that recent into the top spot."
Guess you proved me wrong, TPAM.
I've seen it a more than 5 times and my passion for it is still as existent as it was the minute after I first saw it, TPAM. I welcome the day I stop loving it so much.
I realize it's crazy having such a recent and popular film so high up, I don't like that fact either. I just love the film.
Also, my top 10 isn't posted yet. I'm just saying it hasn't left the #1 spot. I'm still waiting for my top 10 to be concrete.
Iroquois
06-02-09, 01:11 AM
That's fair, TPAM. Mine isn't exactly concrete either, but it would be a bit boring if it was.
Yeah but you don't have two movies from 2008, TPAM. :p

Iroquois

I wish I was like that TPAM, but I can't help what I like right?

TheDOMINATOR

TPAMs wish they didn't like some movies from recent years so much. Which I find somewhat strange; who says a film from 2008 can't be as good as a film from, say, the 1970's, and worthy of being in one's concrete Top 10?
Isn't worthy of being in a concrete top 10 so soon, TPAM.
TheDOMINATOR
06-02-09, 03:37 AM
Seeing it five times should be enough to decide whether or not you find it worthy of such a position, TPAM. In my opinion.
TheDOMINATOR

Well, I guess we're agreed then, TPAM. So get on concretely compiling that Top 10 list! ;)

It's just an objective assumption that with over a hundred years' worth of movie history (to say nothing of all the artistry and storytelling that preceded it), a film that came out as recently as last year can't accomplish anything quite as well as it was presumably already accomplished by an entirely different film years before. However, I will grant that the 1970s never had a film quite like WALL-E.
