I really enjoy Face/Off, but it didn't quite make my list. The only film on the countdown I haven't seen this time is The Raid 2. I still haven't seen the first one, actually. I've been meaning to, and I had the first film on once (when Netflix had it), but turned it off to go do something else. By the time I was in the mood to try and watch it again, it was no longer available on Netflix here. My room mate owns it on DVD, but let her brother borrow it not long after I moved in and he still hasn't given it back 3-4 years later haha.

Seen: 59/65
My List: 8
2 honourable mentions

01. Dredd (2012)
03. Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
04. Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)
...
06. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011)
07. Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
09. Hot Fuzz (2007)
...
13. John Wick (2014)
...
21. Crank (2006) (H)
23. Taken (2008)
24. Fast Five (2011) (H)

Face Off is ridiculous yet it is great fun. Last Crusade is my least favourite of the originals it is still a good film. Haven't seen The first or second Raid but a friend showed me certain scenes from it and the action looked good. ROTK is my favourite LOTR, didn't vote for any of them though. Can't stand Inception. The honourables contains the only one i voted for here; From Russia With Love at #11 it's my fave Bond film. The same friend that showed me fight scenes in the Raid films did the same for the Ip Man ones, action looked good again. Never seen 36th Chamber, it's pretty sad that whenever i hear of it i think Wu Tang.

Face/Off and The Last Crusade are great and Inception is good, but I didn't vote for any of them - though a different Indy movie did make my list. LOTR.

Haven't seen The Raid 2

I personally Liked The Raid 1 Better then the second movie. and face off makes an action list and people mock and laugh Micheal Bay films when Face Off is in consideration for one of the worst movies list.

The Raid 2 was ruthlessly boring. Couldn't even live up to the bland Raid 1.

Nothing good comes from staying with normal people
An excellent group of entries here. Face/off is a favourite in the Cage/Travolta stable (along with The Rock/Con air for Cage and Domestic disturbance/The General's daugther/Basic for Travolta). That's followed by my favorite Indy film that, though more goofy than the others thanks to a comedic Connery, is still brimming with action scenes, my favourite being Indy vs tank. Or else maybe young indy vs dudes on train.

That the raid 2 got great action scenes you can't take from it, but I didn't like it enough for it to survive repeat viewing. Second or third time around and I'm looking at my watch fifteen minutes after they dump the guy in the grave in the field. Same with the first one. Which is a shame, because they are very well made. The fight choreography's tight, they're well rehearsed and they look brutal.

The last LOTR movie only six entries after the last one? Booooooo! But still, it got on the list so I shouldn't grumble. It feels like this would be the one most people voted for of the three, with the giant, two part battle with Minas Tirith/Pelenor fields being the big thing you remember from the movie (along with the man on fire that manages to run a mile before jumping to his death).

Lastly, Inception, which I think's a very good movie even beyond the action. Ellen Page's allways worth a watch and Tom Hardy's comment about not being alarmed to imagine grander things was awesome.

Before I stop and post, a question: Anyone seen a movie named Savages? Came out in 2012, directed by Oliver Stone? Stared the kid who played Quicksilver in Age of Ultron along with Travolta, Benicio del Toro and Salma Hayek? Anyway, there's a pretty well-crafted ambush scene in it. A bit too much shaky cam, but well executed. Look below:

If you've seen it, do you think it'll come up on the list? Where? Or dosen't it deserve to be there? In that case, in your opinion, why?

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
I've seen Savages, pretty good flick and a lot less all over the place as the usual Oliver Stone movie, but still very worthwhile.
It's pretty unknown so I don't really see it making this list, but then ya never really know considering how wide spread its been.

LOVE The Last Crusade! Connery yelling "JUNIOR!" just cracks me up - NO IDEA why, but it does; but it is not the Indiana Jones movie I went with.
Inception is also great and while Raid 2 is a damn good movie I'm a much bigger fan of the first one (a true adrenaline ride from start to finish)

Saw all five but only one (From Russia With Love) of the Honorable Mentions

My List:
#7 John Wick (48)
#8 The Good, The Bad, and The Weird (Honorable)
#9 Ong Bak (Honorable)
#18 A Better Tomorrow (Honorable)
#19 Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (47)
#20 Desperado (20)
#24 300 (46)

Watched: 53/60
Honorable: 27/36

Watched Police Story today (for the first time) and it definitely would've been pretty high on my list. Great flick. Too bad it's only an honorable mention on the list.

Anyway, Tokyo Drifter (honorable mention) was my #3! It's a very unique picture that is probably one of the most entertaining films I've seen this year. One of my (relatively) new favorites!

I also voted for Snatch. (#13) and Inception (#24).

I saw Savages and thought it was pretty good. However, I don't think of it as an action film. If I did, it still probably wouldn't make my top 100.

Also, Omni...Why does Nagato suddenly have a giant beard/mostasch combo?
It's called being cultured, you wouldn't understand.

Watched Police Story today (for the first time) and it definitely would've been pretty high on my list.
DAMMIT.

Welcome to the human race...

By whom? I could mount something of a defence that Face/Off at least gets by on seeing John Woo apply his trademark heroic bloodshed themes and style to an otherwise silly Hollywood movie and lending it some much-needed personality that would help elevate it above your average Bay movie. I didn't vote for it, though - there are far better Woo movies and I always considered it the weakest of Nic Cage's "beige Volvo" trilogy (the other being The Rock and Con Air).

As for the others, Last Crusade was my #11. The Raid 2 is one of those movies that I want to love but merely like - I reckon a fair chunk of this is down to its length working against it. ROTK and Inception don't really get any complaints from me. As for the hons, From Russia With Love is one of the better Bond movies, Ip Man is a very solid piece of work, and 36th Chamber of Shaolin almost made my list.

Great fight choreography, great chase sequences, great sequel. Yes, the length is something to be considered, but damn this is one great flick.

I forced myself to only put one of Cage's action trilogy films on my list and Face/Off did not make it.
