For the record Iro made a ruling here. We've accepted other hosts rulings like Nope allowing anything that counted as Sci-Fi on IMDB, and Citizen's sole 30's Countdown when a number of members wanted to include 20's films.
Yeah, just want to echo something here: if you choose a Curator, you're choosing them to make these choices. Obviously a good Curator will listen to people's arguments and make a good faith effort to please as many participants as possible, but ultimately, it's their call, and it's similarly up to them if they would rather preclude further discussion after a decision is made.
Preemptive clarification on the above: I'm not saying anyone curating a list can just tell people to stop talking about the issue, but they do reserve the right to ask that it take place in another thread, if it's continuing (and continuing heatedly) in their thread long after a decision has been made. I'm going to back them on that, excepting only really blatant power trips or misconduct, which obviously isn't anywhere near the case here (or with any of the lists so far).
As always, though, my preference is that you guys hash all this stuff out on your own. These lists are a community project, and I want to keep them that way as much as possible. So thanks in advance to everyone for, hopefully, rolling with the process, even if it doesn't always go the way they'd choose.
