Movie You're Watching Tonight

Yes, I've seen it.

In general, it's an alright movie and Soderbergh moves it along well. Cast is good. Catherine Zeta-Jones in an atypical role. Roony Mara is very good.

I found the plot became increasingly tenuous and less believable as the movie went on, however.

I'd give it no more than 6/10, but I think professional critics generally rated it much higher. I guess I was disappointed.

Thank you for your answer. I think that I go to see it tonight. In Italy there is nothing of interesting at the movie house this week and I don't like comic's movies (iron man) Tomorrow I'll give my opinion about it.

Great. Really hope you enjoy it.

I'll try this one

Yesterday I saw Sides effects. I think I agree with your opinion. The movie is a good thriller where the plot is never predictible with many twist, but (you're right) it's not believeble. The movie treats in a quite good way the inconsistencies of the pharmaceutical industry, but it backdrop to the thriller. About these theme, I prefer movie like Prozac Nation.

I'm watching two very acclaimed modern movies (by the public or the critics) tonight.

Léon: The Professional (1994) Extended Version

It's extremely popular, so I'm very curious where the fuss is all about.

Children of Men (2006)

It's very acclaimed by critics and it's also extremely high on the recent MoFo Millennium list (11th place). Hopefully I'll enjoy it just as much!

I hated the Doom Generation SO damn much!
I watched it.I think the characters were quite well written but pretty much everything else is flawed.

Léon: The Professional (1994) Extended Version
you're going to have a great evening!Until you start watching Children of Men.

Flawed is a bit of an understatement IMO. That movie has way too many issues.

But ultimately the question is did you enjoy it? Is so great. I on the otherhand HATED it.

Yes, you're right. There are twists that lead us in an unexpected direction. But ultimately those twists become too many and strangle the movie itself.

In terms of a movie about Big Pharma, I kind of liked Love and Other Drugs.

Is this a rewatch or your first time seeing it? If it's your first, you're in for a real treat. Love that movie.

I'm going to see The Great Gatsby tonight. Hopefully it'll exceed my expectations, which are actually quite low. Only the DiCaprio fan in me has me going to see it.

First time, hope it's as entertaining and enjoyable as most people say

By the way, is it weird that I'm going to see this movie, having never actually seen any of John Malkovich's movies?

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984)

I'm watching this for the MoFo Hall of Fame, as it is Guaporense's nomination. This will be my 7th Miyazaki film. Some claim that this is the best animation movie ever and there are others who even call it the best movie all time out of every genre. I'm very curious...

The Killers (1946)

I'm watching this noir classic for the MoFo movie club. I'm pretty fond of film noir, so I'll probably like this. You'll probably be able to read my opinion about this movie, tonight.

A little weird, yes, but the movie isn't about John Malkovich and there's very little reference to his movies in the script so it shouldn't really affect your viewing experience.
