No victimization meant, fbi, honest. But try to see this one from our perspective: Some folks who frequent a competing movie site with a similar name find their site isn't stable and has crashed for some reason. So they come to one with a similar name and post a thread titled "The site
www.movieforums.org is DOWN????" and are upset. And they want what? Answers from those of us on the competing site? Why would we know this information?
And then, a few folks from this crashed site also post in this thread and mention that they hope to see each other back at the competing site soon. Meanwhile, you're all using our bandwidth and forum to chat amongst yourselves about this competing site ... completely ignoring the hospitality that never deleted your thread in the first place.
So, some of us are feeling a bit put-off by refugees coming here and using our space but not really participating, instead discussing when your other site might be back up and ready to re-receive you.
I hope you can understand that it's not the nicest way to introduce yourselves.
FWIW, I didn't realize Powdered Water came from that same site. He's been a delight here, and I think he fits in well because he participates in the whole forum, not just a single thread about a competing forum.
