Movie You're Watching Tonight

I think that this film is excellent. The thing that surprised me most was the distinct, dark humor of certain sequences, but the whole film is wonderfully acted and crafted.

Yay, you watched it! I agree that there’s often an element of satire in South Korean cinema. I don’t remember much of that in The Handmaiden, except towards the end when The most darkly comic South Korean film by far that I’ve seen is Okja, though it’s also sad.

I actually saw it when it first came out.
