New MoFo Records

Tools

We've set a few records lately:

This past Wednesday, the 14th (which just happened to be the site's four-year anniversary), there were 414 posts on MoFo; the old record was 365, back on July 31st, 2003.

July is currently on pace to shatter the site's record for new user registrations in a month (292, in March of this year).

This week (the third week of July, and the 28th week of the year) has seen 2,093 posts so far; already a record. The second-highest was 1,941 in the last week of March. And just last week was the third-highest (1,900).

July is also on pace to break the record for most posts in a month; a record currently held by March of this year, which saw 7,268 posts.

Just thought you all might like to know. Also, if we top 300 posts today, it'll be the fifth consecutive day in which we've done so. The four leading up to today is already a record, as we'd never even topped 300 in more than two consecutive days before.

Well, scratch that. We had 469 posts on the 21st, and 460 yesterday (the 25th). In other words, our two highest days of all-time have come in the last week.

The past two weeks (third and fourth weeks beginning in July) also broke records. The third saw 2,198 posts (never cracked 2,000 in a week before that). That record didn't stand long, though, as the fourth week saw 2,371.

Naturally, July is already the best month we've ever had, averaging just under 300 posts per day. It's already almost 400 posts above the old record, and we've still got several days to go.

As predicted, we set a record this month; 310 signups so far, with about five days to spare.

The yayness keeps on magnifying.

Scratch it again. Two days after I posted this, we broke the record again with 497 posts. Then we did it again, with 502 on the 30th. That's our new current record.

July finished with 10,127 posts. The old record, if you can believe this, was 7,268. So, it was pretty much shattered. Another thousand posts or so, and we'd have had as many in July as in May and June combined. Our three highest weekly totals all came in July, as well.

When I was 19, it was a very good year.

dam we are record breaking machines

Well, so much for that. We had 582 posts on September 1st, demolishing the old record from about a month before.
