Star Wars Vs. Star Trek

Tools

I'm a trekkie, have been for 20 years, though I do like Star Wars a lot.
If we are doing comparisons, here's one for you.

Who is the most handsome between these two?

Would anyone love to see a CG movie called Trek Wars that sees both universe meeting?
No. Not really.

A system of cells interlinked
The Riker thing is a joke, right? One of the goofiest Trek characters, by far.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Ahhh good old Will Ryker.......many a night have I squandered dreaming of me and Will, a remote log cabin somewhere, a nice warm log fire and Will's sexy beard. Heaven.

The Reboot movies are not the real Star Trek, it is an action movie that doesn't have the Star Trek "spirit". That intellectual left wing spirit exemplified by Picard's maxim: the joy of being human is to be able to become something better than you are now" (example: if you don't know calculus the joy of life is to study calculus so one day you can say: I know calculus). How one can be more politically correct and more in the spirit of left wing intellectualism in so few words?

Anyway, my ranking of the 16 movies:

1 - The Empire Strikes Back
2 - Star Wars
3 - The Wrath of Khan
.
. some interval here
.
4 - First Contact
5 - Return of the Jedi
6 - Star Trek
7 - Revenge of the Sith
8 - The Undiscovered Country
9 - The Voyage Home
10 - Attack of the Clones
11 - The Search for Spock
12 - Generations
13 - The Phantom Menace
14 - Insurrection
15 - Final Frontier
16 - Nemesis

15 and 16 are horrible, the other 14 I liked, even Insurrection and The Phantom Menace.

Honestly...

Since buying the Trek Boxset a couple weeks back I'm having doubts over which one I like more between Trek and Wars.
I'm finding myself liking Trek a hell of a lot recently and have been looking at getting the various TV series's's's's DVDs.

Star Wars died over a decade ago with Episode I and II and then the awful Clone Wars spinoffs.
Trek seems to have a longevity.

To elaborate a bit more.

I tried a Star Wars marathon about a year back and got as far as Episode I and Episode II... I then gave up and couldn't watch any more.
I also hammered Wars in my reviews and have no regrets about it whatsoever.

Trek however I could watch over and over. Even First Contact, my least fave I can sit through quite easily.
And... my review of Trek is currently under adjustment as well due to me having doubts about what I put in the original review 18 months back.

A loving heart is the truest wisdom.
I'm not a huge of either series but if the Star Wars prequels are included then Star Trek wins easily. If the prequels are left out of then it's pretty close but I'd still say Star Trek is better.
