That's insane pyro , what areas did you see that were in the movie ?
Well, went to the pub but the interiors were different, saw the Cathedral, the park, hotel, fountain, newsagents, Sommerfield (front and back). All the hot spots lol. Don't know if you get it in the R1 dvd but the R2 trivia track shows all the locations so knew most interiors would be different but did not expect the deli counter to be missing in Sommerfield.....

Meatwadsprite's Review 2008 Preview
---------------------------------------------------

Though it's obvious to me this year can't top 2007 , but there are going to be some amazing films. Here are some films you can count on me reviewing on their release.

Strange Wilderness (Febuary 1st)

Trailer was pretty funny , but i'm not particullary hyped up for this : if I read lots of good reviews i'll probably see it.

Be Kind Rewind (Febuary 22nd)

Micheal Gondry's new movie - is a comedy ! Jack Black and Mos Def both in their best roles ever , the trailers are hillarious and Gondry is a scientific genious. My prediction for best movie of 2008 .

Drillbit Taylor (March 21st)

Could be a really cheesy and stupid comedy - or another hillarious film written by Seth Rogen.

Iron Man (May 2nd)

The trailer was awesome , this is another movie that I have no clue - might be amazing , might suck.

Speed Racer (May 9th)

There is a right way to make this kind of movie - but I'm not sure if the Wachowski brothers are taking that path.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (May 23rd)

I've just recently become a huge Indiana Jones fan and this is my second most anticipated movie of the year. There's no way this won't be amazing : unless Speilberg fails to make the action scenes as great as the previous ones.

WALL-E (June 27th)

Ratatouille put my faith back into Pixar and this movie just sounds like an incredibly fresh idea : backed up with the best CGI studio out there.

Choke (no release date yet - but finished)

Chuck Palahuniuk writes the only entertaining books I've ever read - though I haven't even read this yet , it can only be great.

I'm not old, you're just 12.

Seriously? The only entertaining books you've ever read? That's really kind of sad. There are so many great authors out there that you've just totally ignored.

I prefer film over books anyway. I tried reading the Grapes of Wrath at school and that is a whole new level of boredom.

wow you raised my eyebrows with this one! Hope you can open up a bit more when you have some more experience of life

The Science of Sleep (4 viewings)

Plot : Stephan confuses his dreams with reality - which makes it impossible for him to get the woman he loves.

Story : Stephan moves into his mother's apartment building because she told him there was a job for a calender designer there - though once he arrives he finds his actual job is more mundane and boring. A new tenant moves into the apartment who Stephan instantly becomes in love with. Once he goes to sleep for the first time the film transforms into a surreal masterpiece. You can tell for the most part when it's reality and when it's a dream , but right when you think you got it : you'll be thrown off. The story is done perfectly and never falls into a predictable routine. One of the most emotional films ever.

Visuals : Amazing transitions from room to room that you are introduced in the film - but with the dreams colliding into what your seeing it becomes chaotic and makes sense at the same time. So much is going on with what your seeing on screen and the story - mixed with the sound mix : it ends up being an incredibly complex feat.

Synopsis : Gondry doesn't follow up his dream themed Eternal Sunshine with the same at all. Science of Sleep is an incredibly unique experience , that is also incredibly thought inducing.

You're a Genius all the time
A film illustrates on incredible levels of detail that books will never touch.
How, exactly, is a film more detailed than a book? Movies get two hours to tell their story, whereas books have hundreds and hundreds of pages. Most film adaptations of books are so streamlined they lose most of, if not all of, the source material's original meaning/themes.

I hated The Grapes of Wrath in high school. I didn't take a comp class in college that I definitely should have because I heard I'd have to write a paper on it.

Probably gonna try reading it again, though.
