A film illustrates on incredible levels of detail that books will never touch.
How, exactly, is a film more detailed than a book? Movies get two hours to tell their story, whereas books have hundreds and hundreds of pages. Most film adaptations of books are so streamlined they lose most of, if not all of, the source material's original meaning/themes.

hated The Grapes of Wrath in high school. I didn't take a comp class in college that I definitely should have because I heard I'd have to write a paper on it.
Probably gonna try reading it again, though.
