I watched this last night too. Great film with the John Hughes touch and one of John Candy's great performances. I'll rate it about the same as Gideon.

That's so weird that we watched the same film the same night, Citizen...yeah, I enjoyed it mainly because it wasn't what I was expecting it to be and I thought both Martin and Candy were terrific.

Finished here. It's been fun.

Putney Swope

"Your father was a horse's a**

A funny picture, no doubt, and one that is also an effective satire. The jokes feel very modern.

Pumping Iron (1977)

I don't care about the bodybuilding world, but it was fun watching Arnold and Ferrigno before they were screen stars. Arnold's personality is what gives this documentary life; you can see what made him a mega-star.

Welcome to the human race...
Robin Hood (2010) -

Not the worst film, but not good enough to keep me from wondering about the original premise involving the Sheriff of Nottingham as the protagonist.

Was that your first viewing? I had seen bits of it before on TV, but that was so long ago that for me that was basically a first watch.

Maybe not the worst film, but the worse diction by any actor. That's why I call Russell Crowe, Mr Mubbles. I agree with the 2 rating.

No, this was the first time I had ever watched it.

Be a freak, like me too

And...

I didn't like the first part very much. The action comes too fast and I wasn't in the film. There are sometimes "shortcuts" in the script to explain the actions of the characters. (But I can't talk about that to avoid the spoilers)
The second part is more interesting and emotional. It's a good thing that the central figure is a woman. I think that Kylo Ren is a character with an interesting potential. Snoke... Meh.

Of course, I've my hypotheses for the Episod VIII and I hope that the next Episod won't be so predictable.

I really can't stand the 3D, I've a fuc*ing headache!

Lonely Are The Brave - 7/10

I was expecting more. Kirk Douglas, the man who broke the Blacklist by employing Dalton Trumbo, again. I wanted to love this more - I love the theme, but they run away from it. Lots of filler material, watching a man hide for half the movie with no dialogue and very little being communicated doesn't do much. The first few minutes of the film told more story then the rest of it combined - a man in a horse crossing a highway, and you see cars made in the 50s and 60s honking, one guy shouts "What the hell are you doing?" as if he was crazy. Kirk Douglas' character sees them as crazy, thinking "I haven't change, you all did." Could have been a really great movie.

STAR WARS 7: THE FORCE AWAKENS

New Hero- Rey. she reminds me of Keira Knightley. Sometimes, not all the time
New Villain- His name is Kylo Ren, he belongs to an order called the Knights of Ren, has a Darth Vader complex, and seems to have a high ranking position in the new galactic superpower- The First Order. He was cool until he took off his helmet. And he seemed powerful until he got whooped by a girl who hadn't used a light-saber before

At first i didn't think i liked it a whole lot, but then i decided i like the visuals. It feels like a decent Star Wars movie. If i get more in depth i'll start spoiling stuff so i'll keep it brief

Nostrodamus Prophecy: The next one will be better, it will focus more on The First Order and on the training of Kylo Ren and Rey, who both feel like JV players right now

I will be sad when Daniel Craig is no longer Bond.... he was the first Bond I ever watched...

Quantum Solace is good... Casino Royale... Mads Mikkelsen..

Mean Girls (2004)

Finally saw it after hearing so much about its cult following and everything. Wasn't really as good as I thought it would be, maybe I just don't understand American humour as much as some? The American high school experience definitely seems different from the high schools here in New Zealand.

I'd probably give it a 5.5/10

Watch Heathers (1988) same type of subject but a vastly better film.
