Where would you rate 1997 as a movie year?
1997 was filled with a lot of amazing movies, yet the year is mostly regarded just as the year Titanic came out. Looking back at it...

Why do Trailers and Posters suck these days?

Re: Why do Trailers and Posters suck these days?
The worst thing about trailers is when they give out too much, especially in the theater when you can't ignore them.
Mad Max and the Force Awakens trailers were done right, you got amped up but...

I love sci-fi the most, exploring new worlds while looking at unusual visuals. Sci-fi and fantasy allow us to look at our reality through heightened glasses of entertainment.

Not every abortion is bad :) But yeah, the movie had great potential and it seemed like the filmmaker gave up half way through, and Luc Besson has a great record, especially with sci-fi.

Re: Can we talk about how little the Oscars matter?
I really don't value the award that much, but it's hard not to reference it if a movie has gotten one since it's so hyped.
Last year special effects Oscar award given to Ex Machina instead of Mad...

Any movie directed by Clint Eastwood. He just makes slow, boring, single-point, single-layer movies for old people, and he gets praised because the Oscars are run by his old people buddies.

Kinda sad how many people chose escapism. This also explains why so many dumb movies like the new Fast & Furious ones are so highly rated.

Didn't care for him so far, but I will from now.

It's a great soothing theme song but for me doesn't go at all with the film, it would be much more fitting for Dances With Wolves or something like that.

I think that the answer to this question for everyone is based on which actor's Bond movie did they saw first.
For me, it was Pierce Brosnan and for me he was always the original Bond.
