Yeah, Japanese girls often look much younger, but I very often can tell the difference between a girl who just looks young and an actually young girl (experience, I guess :p).

I'd say Japanese girls look way younger on average than Chinese girls. This might also be connected with the overall kawaii culture of Japan. Although, it's extreme generalization, I'd say Japanese girls are cuter, while Chinese girls are more elegantly beautiful, if that makes any sense. Korean are kind of inbetween.

Out of these three, it's without a doubt Japanese that are the craziest about pseudo-
or actually underaged girls, a theme quite prevalent throughout manga (lolicon), porn to even mainstream films/shows to the point it became a (often shameful) part of their culture. The distinction between, lolicon and paedophilia is pretty confusing as well (not to mention the former basically means pedophilia in Japanese). Even more confusing is the age of consent in Japan, that allegedly is 13 years old yet apparently even a 15 years old male can be tried for having sex with a 12 years old female. Even having sex with a girl that is 17 years old is a misdemeanor, if you're over 20. It's much less confusing in Poland. Once the person you're having sex with is over 15, you are not breaking the law. You only have to be above 15 yourself, naturally.

It's a good question isn't it? When are such scenes appropriate and when are they gratuitous? I'm just thinking of one in Angel (1982) and the nakedness is intimate and acceptable in that way but it's also quite a good way of representing where the character is emotionally.

Right. I love nudity in a movie when it makes sense. Last Tango in Paris, for example. Just watched Neon Demon. Quite a lot of female nudity, but Elle Fanning was neither topless nor nude. She didn’t need to be (it only appeared that she was) & I actually give her a lot of credit for this. I am guessing she was asked to strip & she declined & they cast her as the lead anyway.

It's a good question isn't it? When are such scenes appropriate and when are they gratuitous? I'm just thinking of one in Angel (1982) and the nakedness is intimate and acceptable in that way but it's also quite a good way of representing where the character is emotionally.


Nudity in film doesnt bother me unless it's in something like a tv show and every episode you say to yourself GRATUITOUS NUDE SCENE. You've probably done this and know what I'm talking about.
I loved, absolutely loved the episode of the crown featuring Margaret's relationship with the photographer but it caused all the old girlies on fb to have a melt down. same with I Tonya and the swearing. I thought the violence in I Tonya was so much worse than any swearing if they wanted to bleat about it.

This was very interesting because I initially thought she said "Flatline" rather than "Flatland" for the title of the book by Edwin A. Abbott. When she was describing the 2D universe I immediately thought of the fairly recent Doctor Who episode Flatline, which has what I'd call one of the scariest ever antagonists in the series, the Boneless, who exist in a 2D universe. That, and Alicia (from what I've garnered from interviews and the like) seems smart, mature and clearly a total babe. Hard to believe she's...TWENTY-NINE?!...when she looks younger than that, but her personality feels that age. I would like to see in her in more fitting roles than video game movies but we'll see, as I feel her acting is pretty substantial. I mean, I'm almost 28 years old, so it's not that bad I guess.

Resembles Natalie Portman, which is a plus in my book as she accounts for some of my cinematic crushes also. Third would be Emma Roberts in more than one movie she's been in.

Alicia obviously shows more of her natural, petite beauty in other roles (which I've gathered from finding the GIFs above) so I'm all the more interested in seeing them down the road. With her long hair she is just gorgeous, but the short wig from Ex Machina is a good look for her too.

I adore Alicia, Bear. I even have a neon head mask just like that, and an FX friend is going to scuplt something for me incorporating it. When I wear it I imagine I am as young, beautiful, smart, kind as she is.

If you want a role right away from the lil guys' gamer thingies that twists their lil testicles into a euphoric albeit blue state try The Danish Girl. I thought she was amazing. Just exquisite, and empathetic, and oh my goodness I was as giddy as a school boy at a boy scout's jamboree.

Tania Raymonde was also on a series on MTV called Death Valley, where she played a cop on a force that specifically hunted down and killed zombies (the zombie outbreak was relegated mainly to the San Fernando Valley area. :) ). Sadly, it was cancelled after one season, which is too bad because it was funny as hell, and gory as all get out. Almost gleefully gory. :D But, at least I didn't have to watch MTV anymore, even for only thirty minutes at a time. I love her! LOVE, understand? :yup:
