The only person I can think of still working who uses music as effectively as Danny Boyle in his films is Scorsese, and that's a high recommendation.

I guess what sets Slumdog apart from the rest of the pack, is the simple fact that Danny Boyle was able to pull a little bit of comedy, drama, action, suspense and romance all into one film and have the film still end on a high note.
