I mentioned this in a couple of places, but per usual I figured it should have its own thread.
For those who don't know: we run an Oscar picks pool every year. It's simple: any registered member can predict who they think will win (it's a prediction game, not a popularity contest). There's no cost or downside (other than the ritual humiliation if you're wrong), and if you win you get a free movie prize thingy.
The more people participate, the more fun we have on Oscar night during the live chat, where I input the winners into our system and relay stats to everybody about how many people got the award right and who's at the top of the leaderboard.
So, yeah: it's fun, no downside, only takes a minute, you can update your picks any time before the ceremony, and it makes me happy when lots of people participate. What more reason do you need, you heartless monster?
Make Your Picks!
