Disney is indeed eternal...

Tools

...and so are its classics. The other day I bumped into a TV channel airing a Disney documentary and I got this urge to rewatch its classics...ever since Snow White up until today...and OMG HAS IT BEEN FREAKIN MAGICAL...ahem, the nostalgy is great, and although these movies have dozens of years, at least half of them anyway, the quality is there, the age is not. So I decided to make a "short list" of my favorite classics in several categories, because I have this habit of making small "tops" of things I like and I like just too many Disney animated movies to make a small top. So after presenting you with my opinion of the best Disney movies in their category Id like you guys to do the same for me to have an idea of the general preferences of people in terms of "characters, music, comedy, animation, etc" and of course a defenite Best of All Can tell you right now mine is about a big cat... to be king some day.

-Best Music: The Lion King
-Best Comedy: Hercules
-Most Emotional: Bambi
-Most Thoughtful: The Fox and the Hound

Thing I like most about Disney films was enjoying the films when I was a kid and then enjoying them again with my daughter and sons when they came along, and then again with each wave of grandchildren--oldest 26, youngest, 3.

What I dislike most about Disney: Walt Disney testifying before the House Committee of UnAmerican Activities in a successful attempt to break the union being formed among his animation employees.

Hello Salem, my name's Winifred. What's yours
There are dark sides to Disney, the HCUA stuff as well as anti semitic, racist and sexist tones in the films. These mostly go unnoticed but they are there. However, I was raised on Disney, the animation is something very special and the scores to the early films are beautiful especially Peter Pan.

-Best Story: Hercules
-Best Animation: WALL-E
-Best Art: Peter Pan/Tarzan
-Best Music: Lion King/Beauty and the Beast
-Best Comedy: Hercules
-Most Emotional: Lion King (you know why)
-Most Thoughtful: WALL-E
-Most Memorable Characters: Mary Poppins
-Best Intro: Peter Pan/Lion King
-Best Disney Classic Ever: Peter Pan/Lion King

nice. I personally love THE LION KING! That movie is just EPIC. Well, almost all Disney classics are great. The Hunchback of Notre Dame was fairly good as well so as The Little Mermaid. I could go on and on.. You've got to love the nostalgia that all these movies bring. Their coming up with The Princess and the Frog. Yay!

Wonder what'll happen next now that Disney has bought Marvel.. Hmmm. Spider Man might have his own Disney Princess..
