When governments fail to act on behalf of captive missionaries, ex-Green Beret John James Rambo sets aside his peaceful existence along the Salween River in a war-torn region of Thailand to take action. Although he's still haunted by violent memories of his time as a U.S. soldier during the Vietnam War, Rambo can hardly turn his back on the aid workers who so desperately need his help.

At least with this film Stallone seems to realise how thin the Rambo sequel formula is and the resulting film doesn't even clock 90 minutes - while it ensures against bloat, it does mean that Stallone indulges a lot of 21st-century filmmaking's less tolerable aspects such as choppy editing and docum....

Oscar nominee Sylvester Stallone knew what he was doing when hiring these people. The special effects looked really, really, well real. Except for the biggest boom, the explosions looked awesome, along with the dummies and blood..
