Movie everyone loved but YOU hated?

I was thouroughly disappointed in the first matrix movie. Everyone had built it up and when i saw it, i didn't think it lived up to the hype. I found it to be extremely cliche.

Casino Royal The bond movie,I don't like the climax of this movie. Most of the bond movie climax's were worst.

The Others, I just wasn't a fan of the movie, it seemed to do well at the box office probably because of Kidman but I really didn't like the movie. Then again i'm not really a fan of horror movies anyway.

Try watching the last ten minutes right now if you have it handy...
I haven't seen it since theaters, so maybe I will have to re-watch it sometime soon. I know it's on Netflix instant watch, so I guess I'll try and watch it again sometime soon.

Slumdog Millionaire. I honestly have no idea how it won so many awards.

Welcome to the human race...

I'll explain it for you. The people responsible for choosing the award recipient vote for the nominee they think is the most deserving of the award. The nominee with the most votes wins. Slumdog Millionaire got the most votes in a lot of the different categories it was nominated in, therefore it won.

That's how Slumdog won so many awards.

A system of cells interlinked
Slumdog Millionaire definitely

Any film of that idiot David Lynch

and the most, the hated

A Clockwork Orange
That idiot David Lynch? So, you think everyone else likes his stuff? That just isn't so. Lynch is one of my favorite directors, but most people don't care for him. His visceral, surreal style just doesn't sit well with a lot of people. Why is he an idiot? The man is actually quite intelligent, but he chooses to approach film in a more painterly, metaphorical sense, rather than a straight-forward narrative.

I love pretty much everything he has done, but I understand how he is not for everyone.

As for A Clockwork Orange - That's your loss, completely. Sorry it made you feel yucky and stuff.

Okay true that I forgot about The Elephant Man. But I was referring to the "Lynchian" films
Have you seen The Straight Story? If not, I think you'll be suprised at how 'un-Lynchian' it is. There are shots that might lead you to think that Lynch directed it, but none of them are 'the weird stuff'.

Iro & Sedai: I understand what you're saying about JC's top 10 (at least I think I do) but those 'odd ones' are comedies. Therefore, as he loves them, it's not really strange to see them in a top 10. None of those films would make my top 10 (even though I don't have one) but one of my comedy choices might do and they'll certainly be above mediocrity like Gladiator and The Matrix which probably weren't the films you were refering to. (sorry JC)

I'm not going to try to talk anyone into liking Napoleon Dynamite (I thought it was hysterical, but I admit it's an odd film), but it's a comedy. I don't think it really needs a plot.

Kenny, don't paint your sister.

I suppose I could understand a person's liking to this film, but I guess I just didn't get it. Either time I viewed it.

"Twighlight". This movie should have never been watched by anyone over the age of thirteen, kinda like "Harry Potter"! These movies should only be watched by young girls and no others!!!! FIGHT CLUB IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!
