4. Blade Runner

As for The Matrix, I had that film pretty high on my list, #4 to be exact. Absolutely love that film and the lesser sequels cannot take away my enjoyment of it. It changed the way films were made. Still as thrilling, thought provoking and fun to watch almost 20 years later.

As for Aliens, I REALLY wanted to have it on my list, but I made a rule that only one film from any given series can appear on my list. Other wise it would be full of more than one film from any particular series (Star Wars, Alien, Terminator, etc). So I had to exclude it. Heartbreaking, as I absolutely love that film as well.

Neither were on my list as I wanted to give a chance to lesser known Sci Fis...but both are very worthy and I'm glad they made it! I haven't seen Aliens or the The Matrix, in years, but still fondly remember them.

The Matrix was #2 on my list! Meanwhile, 12 Monkeys was a film I thought was decent but I didn't like it enough to vote for it; and Jurassic Park is a classic, but not one I particularly liked or have seen recently, and I didn't really think of for this sci-fi list anyway.

Also, four of the top ten will be films from my list...
