68. Ocean's Eleven : I've seen 12 out of the last 13 films - and the only reason I'm mentioning that right now is because I haven't seen the film after this, which will ruin that record. Ocean's Eleven twice, and once fairly recently. It has a lot of dazzle on it's surface, and trades heavily on it's star power. A sense of being cool was essential, for this was following in the footsteps of the Rat Pack - a bunch of guys who prided themselves on being the coolest and hip around at the time. I guess George Clooney and Brad Pitt would have come to mind almost instantaneously - which just left the particulars of the casino heist to map out and deal with. Yeah, everything that pans out, including Danny Ocean's ex Tess (Julia Roberts) gets a pass mark from me. It's simply breezy entertainment - and you won't learn much about the human soul or meaning of life, except for the money part in that equation. Funny to think that these guys were probably walking away with that amount of money in real life (The film made $450 million at the box office.) I'm hoping we start to get some real cinematic masterpieces in the top 50.
67. Quills : I really have to see Quills - it's been bandied about a whole heap since I've been coming here, so it'd be nice to see what this fuss is about.
Seen 24/34
